The theory that Jose Mourinho doesn’t ‘allow’ our players to attack...

I thought we were on the front foot against Spurs & the intention to attack was very much in evidence, at least to this pair of eyes.

Maybe as JM feels though, the defence just isn’t good enough to go for it more often at the moment.

Hazard:

Just because Hazard did well under Mourinho doesn't mean that his tactics nurtured Hazard's attacking ability. The correlation is weak. You (or rather pro-Jose posters) like to point out how players need to do better, then come out with this. Which is it? Is it due to the players or not?
How does this make sense to you? If Mourinho stifles all attacking talent then why did he have his best scoring season for Chelsea under Mourinho?

Manager and players take responsibility. I’ll flip the question back at you? If it is the managers fault when players play poorly, then when a play has his best scoring season is it anything to do with the manager?

Thanks for the quotes but I’m aware that Hazard doesn’t like defending. What attacker in the world wouldn’t rather not have to defend?
