Lovely.
I think the fact that he said it in Minnesota is the chilling bit. Historically, Minnesotans are all blue eyed, blonde haired Aryans.Tweet

This is a bit of much needed perspective to some of those who have never experienced dictatorship first hand. They don’t know how good they have it. Without wishing anything bad upon fellow forum members, in a way I almost hope Covid will show them the value of prosperity and individual freedom.when i was 12 Argentina's democratic goverment was overthrown by a military coup.
They forbade books, films, popular songs
they took people from the streets, houses and universities, to torture them and after they spilled their guts, put them on helicopters to throw them, drugged, to the river where they would die
victims ranged from 16 years old -kids whos only crime was to ask for a special bus fare for schoolers- to 80
but trump and johnson are dictators
cry me a river
Fascinating coming from someone supporting a president whose party wants to outlaw abortion, for example. This is a bit of much needed perspective to some of those who have never experienced dictatorship first hand. Not even all Norwegians are blue eyed, blonde haired, so I doubt all Minnesotans are.I think the fact that he said it in Minnesota is the chilling bit. Historically, Minnesotans are all blue eyed, blonde haired Aryans.
they dont see they have free speach, free press, they have a congress, a judiciary that comes from before Trump was electedThis is a bit of much needed perspective to some of those who have never experienced dictatorship first hand. Yes, that is correct. No one is saying those concepts do not exist in the West. However, as you might have noticed, Trump is strongly against the free press. It’s not difficult to see that a president like that is dangerous.they dont see they have free speach, free press, they have a congress, a judiciary that comes from before Trump was elected
so what? i`m all for women reproductive rights, buy to denny there are people that are against abortion and condemn them for that is ridiculousFascinating coming from someone supporting a president whose party wants to outlaw abortion, for example.
You missed the part where I said historically. The vast majority of them are.Not even all Norwegians are blue eyed, blonde haired, so I doubt all Minnesotans are.
No neighbours to spy on them and rat them out, no life savings wiped out overnight, the ability to travel abroad, full supermarket shelves, being able to run a business without much fear of corruption, career opportunities even if you aren't a member of the ruling party....the list goes on.they dont see they have free speach, free press, they have a congress, a judiciary that comes from before Trump was elected
he may be against free press, that doesnt mean he has the power to abolish itYes, that is correct. No one is saying those concepts do not exist in the West. However, as you might have noticed, Trump is strongly against the free press. It’s not difficult to see that a president like that is dangerous.
they think that socialism is capitalism but goodNo neighbours to spy on them and rat them out, no life savings wiped out overnight, the ability to travel abroad, full supermarket shelves, being able to run a business without much fear of corruption, career opportunities even if you aren't a member of the ruling party....the list goes on.
Yet, many are dreaming of socialism. Well, that's what socialism looks like in real life. Been there, done that. Never again.
That’s wrong. If you are talking about Bernie Sanders’ dream that is more of a social democracy like we have in Norway. No neighbours to spy on them and rat them out, no life savings wiped out overnight, the ability to travel abroad, full supermarket shelves, being able to run a business without much fear of corruption, career opportunities even if you aren't a member of the ruling party....the list goes on.

Btw, are you guys still in lockdown? It's been the longest on the planet. I have many friends in Buenos Aires, everybody is suffering.they think that socialism is capitalism but good
they are heading to a nasty surprise

Is anyone holding up Biden as being good?i just googled "biden racists quotes"
here:
did i say that?Is anyone holding up Biden as being good?
So what’s the relevance of your reply?did i say that?
I'm talking the equality of outcome type of socialism. What Norway has (and a few other northern European countries, including my own) is capitalism with a solid social welfare system. It's the best we have but it's only possible if the income side of the equation is taken care of, i.e. an economy that produces a surplus. An oil rich nation like Norway is in a very good place compared to most of the world. On top of that they are not part of the EU or the Euro - which panned out very well for you guys. That same system would not work in today's Greece, Spain or Italy. That’s wrong. If you are talking about Bernie Sanders’ dream that is more of a social democracy like we have in Norway.
The guy follows Ben Shapiro, Tucker Carlson and The O’Reilly Factor on Facebook I‘d just ignore. So what’s the relevance of your reply?
i edited and said that Trump is the only labeled as racistSo what’s the relevance of your reply?
aw, my first e-stalker. I`ll cherish this momentThe guy follows Ben Shapiro, Tucker Carlson and The O’Reilly Factor on Facebook I‘d just ignore.

Biden has been called racist plenty of times.i edited and said that Trump is the only labeled as racist
Maybe they see it, and would like to keep it that way?they dont see they have free speach, free press, they have a congress, a judiciary that comes from before Trump was elected
To me that just cements that he, for some extreme odd reason, is in the Trump camp. He’s trying to hide it because he knows it’s «wrong» but I recognise a duck quacking.Biden has been called racist plenty of times.
This is the Trump Presidency thread, and someone posted something about Trump to which your response is “but Biden”, what’s the point of that?
i'm not angry at all mate, i just think that many caftards are making a sea over a drop of waterMarcos wtf ain't seen you in years and you seem to have come back angry as hell. What's up?
always so tidy, dont talk about Messi in Ronaldo's thread, don't talk about Biden in Trumps threadBiden has been called racist plenty of times.

Not quite how I see it but fair enough. If anything, taking a step back, I see crazy shit happen and we all just make a joke and continue on because these things have become so normalised....i'm not angry at all mate, i just think that many caftards are making a sea over a drop of water
Definitely in Liz Wheeler’s camp.i'm not in trumps camp, i just think you are acting like crazy teenagers over nothing
Certainly wouldn't work in the UK, either. It's not a surplus economy. I get why so many have lost faith in capitalism, we have reached the end of a road, but socialism isn't the answer as it does an even worse job at creating wealth. Everybody will be equally poor.We are not talking about those countries though.
We’re talking about the US in this context, and again, it’s not socialism. Socialism doesn’t work, that’s obvious - we agree 100%. We are talking about social democracy. Health care and free education doesn’t turn a country into a «socialism paradise» all of a sudden.Certainly wouldn't work in the UK, either. It's not a surplus economy. well, in my experience, dictatorships happen over night, and as i said, with free press, a free judiciary and a congress, it's really hard to see that USA could turn into that, no matter what the "signs" you think you seeMaybe they see it, and would like to keep it that way?
As people have pointed out, it is not going to go from the current state to full-on dictatorship overnight, but there are plenty of warning signs in terms of both rhetoric and actual actions that things are moving in the wrong direction. In terms of free speech, for example, Trump recently called it a beautiful sight that a reporter he didn't like was hit by a rubber bullet. Five years ago that would have been hard to imagine.
didnt say dont complain or worry, what i said was that saying that trump is a dictator or a border dictator is not knowing what a dictator is and makes that word totally irrelevantAlso, the whole "things used to be worse or are worse in other places, so let's not complain or worry" is the height of idiocy. You can recognize that there are actual dictatorships and poverty in the world, while also wanting your own country to improve. The two are not mutually exclusive. Funnily enough this type of logic is often used by conservatives in the US.
who is "liz wheeler"?Definitely in Liz Wheeler’s camp.
