Good thing the Trump admin fired the cyber security chief who would have spearheaded the everyday search for Russian hacks into critical US institutions. It’s not as if they could have learned anything from the current Covid debacle...

Did anyone think that something like this wasn’t going to happen? Probably didn’t envision it to occur week one, but damn.

This vaccine is pretty much a false dawn, it probably will cause at least another spike on top of the already existing spikes before it really can have any positive effect effect late into next year. But, to feck it up this totally, either accidental or intentional, is just the perfect way to go out by the Trump admin...

Is this retaliation for not attending Trumps vaccine summit?

I genuinely don’t think he’s smart enough to protect himself from state charges and the 5th amendment waiving that will happen

He can he protect himself from state charges?
Some of the witnesses against him (like the head of the Trump org) have been able to avoid testifying against him by pleading the 5th. If he pardons them they will lose the ability to plead the 5th and will be compelled to testify. If they dont tell the truth they will be committing perjury, which will not be protected by the pardon.

Yeah, it's really too bad. No one actually cares about the integrity of the Republic. Maybe they can at least make it a crime to not cooperate with the transition.
Nah, it’s basically one big grift sprint until some sort of critical mass is reached. Covid might be accelerating this timeline a bit thankfully.

There’s minimal broad concern about the republic, though, just enough to maintain its decline shallow enough to be able to ensure the grift lasts that much longer.
