Yeah, there's a nice level of detail and the story has actually been decent so far. It's not completely throw away like Destiny. Some of the missions have been great, I really like the American History Museum, you could even read the displays.

Overall it's a nice evolution of the first game so far. My only issues have been a bit of slow down and the character creator being so bad that it's almost pointless. It's even worse than the first game, which is odd as Wildlands had a decent character creator. You can't even have a bald head, how the hell is that a thing?
I'm surprised it isn't better - I do think it is an improvement over the first game though, but that isn't saying much. But at least I've finally been able to take sunglasses off of my character! Small wins and all that!

Anyone found any weapon types they will stick with when they get to the endgame? I've been using a Rifle as my primary and Assault Rifle as secondary (although this does get changes a bit as you find new weapons). I picked up my first Marksman Rifle right before I logged out the other day, so haven't given that a proper go yet, so will see how that compares to the rifles.

Just saw this tip:

PSA: You can donate items from the map in the projects tab

You can open your map, go to the tab called projects, click any project and you can donate items from anywhere! Incredibly helpful as I just discovered this :)

Judging by the amount of comments regarding having a bald character, I would assume it will be patched in shortly.

You could change appearance features in div1. There's a toilet between the terminal and BOO where you can take of your glasses etc.

As for weapons, I use LMG's - I have a purple MG5 at the moment and AR's - Ctar21 or Police M4.

There's also a high end FAMAS that you can get by getting 8 ivory keys and opening a cache in the white house. Ivory keys drop from hunters.

Enjoying playing it so far, for some reason the first division I found a bit more compelling (and it was more difficult as well)
Also the graphics even on 4K I thought would have been better, especially compared to RDR2 or Tomb Raider.

Is the game actually fully released? Or are you guys playing it through some sort of early access?
Played since Tuesday as preordered the Gold edition.

I know some people are already level 30 but I'm nowhere near that! Still in single figures!

I put a lot of hours into the first Division and given how the developers continued to update the game and listen to feedback, was confident enough to buy the season pass.

They would need to. I'm going to get laughed at if anyone notices my character has hair.

I've not seen any hunters at all. I'd like a high end FAMAS or high end anything right now. The few purples I've had have been very good armour pieces I kept using well past their level.

I'm going to go for rifles as my main I think. I've had some good ones and the LVOA-C in the beta was excellent. Combined with an assault rifle or SMG. Police M4 from blue prints has been excellent for me for past few levels.

My mate seems to be levelling slowly too, but I'm at level 13 or 14 already. I took all the xp boosting perks early and have been mostly doing main missions and control points.

Are you guys on PS4? If so and if possible, join the clan. There are two of us at the moment but we can't earn rewards until there is at least four members.

Add me: Brocky36
Nah, I am on Xbox. That clan thing is quite stupid without scaling. Even if you have 4 people, the achievements you have to do are too high.

Very cool interactive map - this guy has made maps for GTA, RDR2 and the first Division before.

https://division2map.com/

There's also an app version.

I'm actually enjoying discovering things organically - really do not feel the need to rush through the world so am playing it much slower.

Me too. The world is much more detailed than TD1. I actually do miss the atmosphere of the wintery New York but there's no question that this world is hugely superior.

I also really like the improvements made to the low-level looting. First off, not showing scavenge loot on the mini-map is a great shout. Having to search around for rolls of tape, rope, etc, and it actually being useful, makes a slower, more explorative gameplay style like mine seem much more worthwhile. If they can keep it relevant into end-game, then that's a big plus from me.

I thank you, my guys thank you and the people of Washington DC feckin' thank you :D

Seriously, great map. The work they did with the map for div1 was great as well. I will spend some time farming the hunters for the masks and wait for WT5 to drop.

I have an Xbox S and a PC, which version should I get?

Just to be sure I can play by myself right? I am not interested in online play.

I would just get the basic version of the game all the DLC is free for the first year, yes you can play all the missions solo but it makes the game much harder and the grind from 1 to 30 a lot longer

Played a bit more over the weekend - only up to level 8 so far but think it is excellent!

Have been using a Rifle as my primary (these have higher damage than AR's but are semi-auto) and a LMG as my secondary and really like this combination. I have tried a couple of Marksman Rifles, but don't like how you automatically are zoomed into the scope view. It means it takes too long to acquire the target, aim and shoot, given you have to do it after each shot with the bolt actions weapons. I know you can get around this by swapping the scope with a 4x scope, but then you still have the huge recoil to deal with. I prefer the Rifles that stay on target with each shot.

I have been using a Level 4 MK17 that did 490 DMG. I had this since I was level 3 and it has felt almost overpowered compared to the NPCs. Now however, although it is still causing damage, Level 8 enemies are needing a few more shots to take down, so hoping to find a replacement. I found a Level 8 MDR, but that only does 495 DMG, so not a huge upgrade. Would love to find another MK17 to be honest!

I got a Level 7 M60 LMG which is really good - think it's about 350 DMG but the mag size is 100 - which is fantastic. I try to score headshots with the MK17 and then use the LMG for anyone who gets close.

I'm looking forward to getting to the higher levels and seeing some of the weapon talents - as they seem more varied and interesting than in D1.

But really loving the game so far!

Wasn't going to bother with this despite always being a fan of the first game, I just don't have time for it, nowhere near. Reviews have sucked me in though :(

Me and my mate hit level 30 and got the specializations last night. It does a really crap job of explaining a lot of the systems and mechanics. It goes utterly mental though at that point, the streets are an absolute war zone. We did one mission, which was pretty much a replay of the same mission the first time round but with different enemies. It was a lot of fun.

My main gripe is the gear building. I'm favouring the rifle/assault rifle combo, which is fine. It's hard to hang on to good ones pre level 30 because you out level them. Now that gear score has come into it and it's chucking loot at you all over the place you're constantly upgrading everything, so it's hard to actually build your character the way you want them as you're constantly swapping out for higher gear score, sometimes for stuff you don't actually want. I have a level 288 high end LVOA-C which is the best rifle I've found so far, it's accurate, stable and fires very fast with some nice perks. I'll be very annoyed when I eventually have to ditch it purely because of gear score. I've not found a way to raise the level of gear. Recalibration is a bit limited and I hope they expand on that.

The skills bug is currently very annoying. Especially with endgame enemies that can use skills while yours aren't working.

Also that guy Manny being Nomad from Ghost Recon Wildlands gets a bit confusing at times.

Sounds like they have fixed the worst of that skills bug:

Maintenance - March 18th, 2019
Agents, good news! We have identified several issues that were causing skills to immediately destroy themselves and go on a 15 second cooldown. Our development team has been hard at work during the weekend and throughout today to find a fix for those problems.

We will be able to solve most of these occurrences with the brief maintenance today, March 18th at 10:15 PM CET / 5:15 PM EST / 6:15 AM KST / 8:15 ACT. The servers will be down for approximately 15 minutes and you should encounter these issues way less often from this point on.

The team is continuing their work to resolve all the remaining issues on this topic with a future patch later this week. Until then you can try to avoid the talents EXTRA and OVERLAP which seem to be the culprit and can cause skills to act up even after maintenance, albeit still much less often.

We want to thank everybody for your continued reports, your feedback and most importantly your patience. The health of the game continues to be our highest priority!

The loot drops based off your gear score take into account stuff in your stash. If you're happy with a weapon keep using it until you find a better one. I only use assault riffles and shotguns (survivalist) but I'm taking my time getting to world tier 4 since WT5 and tidal basin will drop soon.

Recalibration can't change gear score. It's for transfering talents. You can use the craft bench to upgrade exotics (lullaby shotgun or the ruthless riffle) but that's about it.

The clan is currently set to open, so you can search for RedCafe and join or add me and I'll invite you - Brocky36

Glad to hear they're sorting the skill bug. It's so annoying seeing your Striker drone vanish on the way to it's first target. When the thing actually works, it kicks ass, too!

I hit level 30 last night then ran DZ for a while. I got an instance with nobody else in and played for a couple of hours, picking up some decent gear.

I agree with what you said about the scoped marksman rifles, @swooshboy - They really gimped that aspect of the game and even changed the oh-so-satisfying headshot sound from TD1, the swines!

I'm currently running a crafted M4 and a Police MK.17. Really hoping to drop a SOCOM 16 M1A some time soon, but also hoping they fix marksman rifles. I'm quite hopeful that they will, considering there's a marksman specialisation class.
