As always I think not everybody will agree with the order of rank but It's very impressive to see that United has 3 players on this list, only losing out to Real Madrid who have 4, with the recent Bellingham links it could easily even out by the end of summer.

3 French players in the top 10.

Problem is, that list might look comically bad in 5 years. I do hope Cherki pans out, he's a fantastic talent.

The first three are really top top talents. While Greenwood is ours, i hope we can get either Cherki or Eduardo

I expected to see Greenwood there but having Garner eventhough he’s featured very little on the first team and Mejhbri is quite impressive, must be rated very highly.

It's funny to look at these lists some years later. Looking back at past lists it's a mixture of great players, average players and who the hell is that players.

Greenwood up in the top 5 is cool though. He does look quality

These lists are very interesting to look at later in the future and to see how many actually kick on and make it to the top to fulfill their potential, and how many are just forgotten.

Still, good to see that we have 3 players in that list, and could still be expanded if we sign the some of the players on the list that we are linked to.

What is defined as a teenager here? Erling Haaland is 19 and technically a teenager. Is this a U18 list?

Would you agree on the idea that Ait-Nouri is currently better than most of the french players mentioned in that list?
I mean those lists are so subjective, even the term talent itself. Ait-Nouri's playing for Angers, so he's more under the radar. I haven't seen much of him live, but I've followed his highlights so I wouldn't really be able to tell you really but I'd have a hard time placing him over Cherki, Camavinga, Kouassi (who I think is amazing), so maybe above Mejbri? Would you really put him even higher than that?

I would probably put him fourth because unlike the others he is demonstrating that he is a good Ligue 1 player which is more than you can say for the rest. I'm not trying to predict who is going to be the better player but who is currently on top, going further than that would be too subjective.

I still remember the outrage in France, neither were ready to move abroad and they have been used as examples to not follow. Both were talented though.

Edit: On that topic, Cuisance is an example of that, he was a starter for Monchengladbach and decided that he was going to Bayern, now he may have ruined his career.

He wasn't a starter for Gladbach either.

The vast majority will be duds, as always.
Hardly understand why so many become fascinated and excited with those wonderkids. We all know most of them won't fulfill their potential and live up to the expectations. The list from 2010 sums it up for me.

Fair enoug, I seem to remember Gladbach being disappointed because they expected him to be one this season or did I imagine it? But they were also disappointed with his attitude in general.

Yes, he started well in pre season and it looked like he was going to get significant playing time this season. But calling him a starter based on a promising pre season is too much.

Doesn't make the move to Bayern any less stupid though.

I might be wrong but didn't cheyrou only move to liverpool when he was like 23 or 24. I remember watching a debate long back when some said he was massively overhyped and was never that special.

You are right, I was thinking about Le Tallec and Sinama-Pongolle. Cheyrous were bang average players, the both of them.

I remember there was a lot of hype around kakuta. The same player that cost Chelsea a ban in the transfer market.

Quite interesting how many of them are already at top sides. Madrid being top isn’t too surprising with how much talent they’ve hoovered up. Will be interest to see how many of them truly realise that potential.

I really want us to get Bukayo Saka if we can. I’ve never seen him have a bad game, and that was as a winger, but he looks like he can be in the top 3 left backs in the world. Also has the added ability of being able to play as a winger (a left-footed one at that). Kid is a real gem, so mature with his decision making and will be physically impressive once developed.

And his contract runs out in 2021. Would be great, but I can't see him leaving Arsenal yet.

With his contract situation, this will be a good opportunity for him to get out. I guess he is only 18 or so, so there could be merit in him staying and being first choice there for a few years, but at the same time, you don’t always get second chances, if he gets an offer from a top club now he should consider it.

Chelsea are the dominant team at academy level and have one player on the list? Sounds legit!

To be fair it's just a list of 50 footballers some polish guy who lives in Belgium who isn't a football scout has put together under the website footballtalentscout .net which somehow seems to have given it some semblance of legitimacy

Out of these 100 players, there are around 25-30 of them make it to the top level at some point of their career.

Hardly understand why so many become fascinated and excited with those wonderkids. We all know most of them won't fulfill their potential and live up to the expectations. The list from 2010 sums it up for me.
I completely disagree - I think about half the players in that 2010 list have gone on to have good to very good careers in football, a 50% ratio seems pretty solid when you're discussing such young players.

And if you don't understand why people who enjoy football could be "fascinated and excited" by wonderkids, I guess that just means we don't enjoy football for the same reasons. There's something very exhilarating about seeing a young player with bags of talents making it through the ranks and establishing himself.

Well maybe we adopt different standards and definitions regarding "good to very good careers". By the term "wonderkid" I really expect them to be leading players in the league for years but many have failed to impress. A poster above has already pointed out that only 25-30 among that list have made it to the top level. I don't agree with his list completely, but the number is similar.

Don't get me wrong, I do love watching a young player establishing himself. Mbappe, Rashford and Haaland are all breathtaking to watch. What I don't like is how the media pretending to be prophets and overhyping youngsters. Many of the elite footballers nowadays don't actually come from these lists and there are always someone in these lists ending up in total failure.

You're talking about 100 players in a very small age group, I'm not quite sure what your expectations are - that they are Ballon d'or contenders? Identifying players who go on to have a professional career (for some of them a really good career) in football at such a young age is quite impressive.

It is players that already have their first league minutes (same about the 2010 list, when it was made) - and that at a very young age. So the successes then aren't really that surprising.

When I look at the German players of the 2010 list - they played already good roles then.
