Arsenal are wild

There must be something in this if they have came back with a second bid, as in the player has showed he’d be willing to join them

It really would be a telling sign of where Arsenal are as a club if one of their star academy players who’s had lots of plaudits this season wants to leave and join Aston Villa

Fair fecks to Villa, showing some big ambition

Villa's bids are the equivalent of Arsenal bidding 20M for Greenwood. What is the point ? They're making themselves look stupid and wasting time looking for a real replacement to Grealish.
ESR is 18 months older and has done nothing. He hasn’t even played many games for the 8th best team in England, and has 2 years left on his contract.

30M bid for ESR is the equivalent of a 80M bid for Greenwood where you can refuse to sell but it is nothing laughable.

Italian clubs are skint and have been for ages. These loans are a replacement for the third party ownership system they used to absolutely rinse (think it’s banned everywhere now?).

Aside from Juve, not sure how clubs like Lazio with their crumbling stadiums and no-show fans are supposed to pay for anyone decent.

Reckon Dalot goes for £25m or something OR he’s loaned out again. Fair fecks to him, can’t see him becoming a starter and he’s slightly too good to hang about being AWBs understudy. Replacing him with Trippier would be a huge upgrade to state the obvious. (Probs won’t though).

It is laughable in the sense that we have only one player that ressemble a number 10 and that's him and every time he didn't play or gor got injured we were even worse than usual.
To sell him even for 50/60M would be stupid because we already need more players like him in the squad and they are not cheap.

There is nothing in football funnier than seeing fans getting worked up about how other clubs decide to structure their deals.

Like if you guys were buying something and had an option to structure your payments in a way that was more beneficial to you you wouldn't do it.

It's really, really dumb.

Thats true, but these Italian clubs never take up these buy options in the end...

Also, wasn't Brandt supposed to have been great a Dortmund. I assume it all went wrong?

Not often no (Milan did with Tomori) but that's on the selling/loaning club, if someone's offering you an advantageous deal you take it don't you.

Just really tiresome to read 5-6 moronic replies to every single rumour involving (usually) and Italian club daring to have the temerity to try to get what they want by outlaying as little as possible. Usually the same people that will laugh when they think another English club has overspent on a player too. And then complain that United should just "pay what's needed to get the deal done, who cares" :houllier:

He is 21 and has half a season of top flight football where he was decent but not extraordinary. In any case, he is not a Saka or Greenwood level player where you have to keep him at all costs.

His story has played out at Arsenal many times, where fans get excited about a 20-21 year old playing decent football and don't sell when their value is high. Coquelin, Gibbs, Ox, Coquelin, Wilshere, Walcott, Bendtner; the list is very long.

All driven by emotion and not rational thinking.

Kai Havertz at the same age as ESR went for 70m and he had played more than 100 top flight games and for Germany.

ESR for 50/60m would be a complete ripoff.

Would be sad to watch him leave the BL to a club that isn't in the top tier in another league. His potential is higher than where he is right now but it seems he doesn't have the mentality to want to improve.

Likely rules out any interest in Pereira.
Not necessarily. Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Sarri views Brandt as someone who can offer more of a wide threat for Lazio. The club is still interested in Andreas as they feel that Simone's setup last season didn't suit him, and they still see a good player in him. They'd like to see how he does under Sarri to really see if he'll be worth purchasing from United.

If Arsenal are planning to make "4-5 significant signings", then I wonder who they'll put up for sale to be able to make those signings. Xhaka's definitely one of them as well as Mavropanos, but I wonder if there will be more.

Aren’t Wiilian and Luiz on their way out as well? Looks like a big chunk of their wage bill gone with Ozil going as well

The source

Basically, Liverpool and United are monitoring him, but the player himself is keen on continuing with Hoffenheim for one more season. Only a mega offer would convince the club to let him go this summer.

Yeah, I forgot that those two already left along with Özil. In that case, Ben White will be one significant signing, and Albert Sambi Lokonga will be the other (to replace Xhaka). Let's see what their other signings will be.

Everyone talking about Camavinga as CDM but if I'm not mistaken - he's a CM.

That's the position he plays in his team in France. We have Paul, Donny, Fred and Scotty in this position, where will he play ?

And if he is a DM, why would you want a 18yo in that position ? that's crazy. Especially when we have a talented youngster(Garner) in this position who's 2 years older than him that we still don't give playing time to.
Because it’s clear as day Camavinga is a special talent. Garner could still go either way.
