Luis Enrique and Luis Campos welcomed a number of players to the PSG Campus this morning. Verratti, Neymar, Ekitike, Bernat and Sanches:
  • They're not counting on them
  • These players did not take part in the official LFP photos
  • Neymar and Verratti trained indoors

PSG seem like a club detached from reality. How do they think those players are all going to find buyers at this stage if the window? You're going to end up alienating them and then be stuck with having to play them or let them sit conspicuously on the bench when the window closes, just like Mbappe. Even at our worst over the lat 10 years, we have never been as big a basket case as PSG.

Sanches has been talking to Roma. Verratti had bids from Saudi Arabia (that the club turned down until now). Ekitike has a bunch of clubs interested though PSG apparently seek to make a profit. If the club doesn't get unreasonably difficult on selling fees those three already have solid leads in place.

Neymar is a more thorny case. Rumored he wanted to leave for a while now but I don't know who exactly would wish to take on his massive wages. And even a "symbolic" transfer fee can't be that cheap for him. There's maybe 6-8 clubs total in Europe that could try ?

Bernat no clue but given his valuation can surely find someone in La Liga to take a punt.

Either way quite terrible management.

Such a shame how Verrattis career has turned out. I remember him first breaking through and being convinced he was going to be an absolute star. Wasted his best years at PSG, and looks like his career is going to fizzle out.

Some gossip that the PSG situation is more nuanced than presented in this tweet :
Players indeed informed the club would rather see them leave (on good offers) but if not they'll play if needed.
The expected arrivals of Dembélé and Kolo Muani are not contingent on them going or staying.

Neymar : Had some doubts but not looking to go except if a mega-offer comes through.

Verratti : Accepted a Saudi offer but club thinks it's not high enough. Only player that will be replaced if he leaves.

Ekitike : Received an offer of Everton. Doesn't fancy Frankfurt. Would like to stay in France (Lens, Lyon, even on a loan).

Sanches : Several offers in Italy and England.

Bernat : Two offers in Turkey, one in Spain.
