Javi Garcia has left City?

Almost: http://www.theguardian.com/football...-manchester-city-zenit-st-petersburg-transfer

Javi García is set to leave Manchester City for Zenit St Petersburg in a deal worth nearly £13m to end his two seasons at the champions, with the Russian club hopeful of announcing his signature at a press conference on Thursday.

The Spaniard’s transfer is for a fee of £12m plus a further £800,000 in add-ons, with García having fallen even further behind in the thinking of Manuel Pellegrini after the purchase of Fernando from Porto to strengthen his central midfield options.

With Yaya Touré and Fernandinho the established starters in the position and Eliaquim Mangala’s £32m arrival this week as a centre-back - where Garcia has been used in an emergency - the prospects of him enjoying regular first-team actionhad been greatly reduced.

While Andre Villas-Boas, the Zenit coach, views García an automatic choice as one of seven overseas players allowed to start league games under Russian football federation rules, if the 27-year-old does depart that would still leave City with 17 non-homegrown players following the arrival of France international Mangala.

As if they're getting £13m for that plodder.

If we were looking to shift him we'd be lucky to get half of that. fecking oil tycoon owners giving handouts to each other, pathetic.

So City have managed to get £23m for Garcia and Rodwell  fecking hell

Ridiculous, yet people are thinking we'll be lucky to get over 10m for players like Chicharito and Kagawa  Both should be worth at least 20m each, all things considered. If we were bringing them in, they'd be worth even more. Yet another team looks to buy them and they basically rob us.

Adnan taking the #11 shirt is perfect. I thought RvP would have moved to #9.

Very relieved van Persie has apparently decided to stick with the number 20 again, I never get shirt numbers but for some reason went with rvp 20 on the away shirt without thinking at the time that he might move to 9 this season. United don't give refunds if the numbers change so pretty decent of him to think about the fans who already have his name on the back.

Not interested in Cuadrado eh? If he ends up at Barca we can add him to the list of players we apparently decided not to go for who then coincidentally ended up at more attractive clubs. Oh well.

It's pretty cool that RvP seems to have taken fans like yourself into consideration with his choice, kinda flies in the face of the view of footballers these days.

Right now on rac1: 'Fiorentina want 40m for Cuadrado. Barcelona won't pay that much and not interested at that price. Everything is stalled'. They are usually reliable on transfer details.

Re Van Persie
I heard he likes the 20 too because we won the 20th title in his first season.
