United trigger a one year extension to AWB's contract
So he's contracted until 2025. To be expected, but the speculation regarding negotiating an improved deal to his current 90K a week deal is puzzling. If we are trying to reign in the wage bill what should a squad player be earning here? Would he earn more than a 100K elsewhere?
We were thinking of improving Maguire's contract under Ole, which I think is at around 190K - and that despite him having a very long contract. We wanted to do the same with Bruno, which we ended up doing. We've obviously got Martial on 250K, Sancho on something crazy (above 300K I think) and Rashford on a superstar contract.
Surely a squad player at United shouldn't be earning more than 100K at the absolute most?
Aside from that, I think it makes sense to trigger the options for him and Lindelof, not least if we plan on selling them in the summer.
