What position is Gribbin playing and what formation are we using?

Not surprising. That defensive line + goalkeeper would be one of the best around, even without Tuanzebe in it.

Although the players are different it seems we've learned a few lessons from when we played in the youth league a couple of years ago and were so naive tactically that the other teams who had less talent were just more organized and picked us off. The difference in the professionalism and defensive organization from the this u18/19s group in the past 6-9 months has been huge

The Van Gaal effect? Don't want to tempt fate but - tough and all as it is to watch - I think the football Van Gaal has us playing will be very effective in Europe.

Van Gaal's tactics seem to be perfect for big games. We've been doing well vs big teams and in big games over the past year

Think its a combination of that and the fact that we have a brilliant group of defenders coming through as well. Tuanzebe and Fosu Mensah get talked about the most but I think Roshaun Williams is on the same level as them potential wise and Borthwick Jackson and Reid have improved a lot in the past year as well. Its a good sign that the younger players are capable of playing like this because its often that tactical and defensive naivety which is exposed as soon as players try to step up to the first team.

Went to see the match at the Herdgang today. Will post some pics and more info later.
Very efficient team. Only two real chances: three goals.
Cornerkicks: 12-0. Too bad there is no cup for that...

wow! Callum Gribbin seems to have a very good conversion rate from freekicks.

Was the game really as one sided as those highlights suggest?

Seems 0-3 flattered us slightly but delighted for the lads.

More pictures will be available tomorrow. (After a regular working day, after a non-regular football-night ;) )

Don't want to be a buzz killer but looks like the home match vs. Wolfburg won't be live due to its being too close to the first team match.

We have Tuanzebe,Dearnley and Kehinde back but Reid is out with an injury.

German channel TV3 Sport 1 have it on their schedule so unless that changes there should be streams available
