Although I believe that we will win against the Chelsea in 90 minutes in next week's FA Cup Final, penalties might be the out come since games between United and Chelsea have never been high scoring occasions since Maureeniho been with them.

Who are good, reliable penalty takers at both United and Chelsea and how well do you think we'll do?

I think our five will be Ronaldo, Rooney, Scholes, Giigs and Rio

Chelsea should be Lampard, Drogba, Robben, Joe cole and essien

I think a penalty shootout would be 50-50. I don't really think either of the two goalies are pk specialists

For us....

Rooney
Ronaldo
Scholes - to erase the memories of 2 years ago

erm..... Rio? I remember he tucked one away very nicely against Arsenal in the Charity Shield 3 years ago

Carrick ahead of Rio I sasy, Evra I think would be in with a shout, definitely Ole if he is playing, which he usually does late in the game.

Ok why are any of you picking Giggs? To my knowledge he's never once taken a pen and if I'm being honest id be inclined to think he'd miss rather than score

I wouldn't be confident with Ryan taking a pen what so ever :(

Which players could take the crucial penalties? Like the first and last of the five?

id have Ronaldo go first

maybe we could have saha on bench and bring him on in extra time injury time,

surely he would be able to take one, or will he injure himself in the run up?

In order...

1) Ronaldo
2) Carrick
3) Rooney
4) Giggs
5) Solskjaer/Scholes

Richardson/Smithy/Rio are other choices.

I know they say let you're best Penalty taker go last, i reckon they should go first to get off to a good start.

I wouldnt trust Smith from the spot. I reckon Richardson is a pretty good penalty taker
Talking about outsiders for penalty-takers, Fletcher is good at free-kicks and corners too. Although he never gets the chance to take those at United he does those very well for Scotland.

Aye, he used to be the MAN for the Scots.I hope Fletch can build on this season's impressive display. He always seems like a nice happy chap.

I am suprised at people assuming Giggs is a good penalty taker. He isnt, he has taken a penalty for us. It was in the charity shield against Arsenal in 93 i think, Giggs missed and hasnt taken one for us again. It was a bad miss i think

Smith took a horrible penalty for us last year in a pre-season friendly,

The five I would want to take for us would be: Ronaldo, Rooney, Carrick, Scholes, Rio.

Also apart from the charity shield every team i supports loses on penalties.

Am I the only one who doesn't feel confident with left-footed players taking penalties?

No doubt John O'shea is a master penalty taker aswell? Put him in goal aswell.
