Who won the thread then? I'm pretty sure I predicted Romney would be their nominee very early on and was always with O winning easily.

Here's the first post that correctly predicted Romney as nominee and Obama beating him in the general:

It will be Romney I reckon. I'd still back Obama against him, especially since the jobs situation ought to have improved somewhat by then.

If a third party candidate like Bloomberg runs though the Dems could be stuffed.

Romney being the nominee isn't really much of a prediction given the buffoons he was up against. Its all about who predicted the most accurate final EVs.

But the story of Clinton vs Rice is more appealing...
Kidding aside, I do think an omnibus US politics thread would be useful. There's plenty to talk about (and plenty that is talked about) that aren't strictly about the Presidential elections, but don't really warrant their own thread.
