Just seen with Valladolid winning they're now in La Liga bottom 3 with 15 points form 16 games.
Have won 1 of their last 12 league games and of course in covid season madness that was 4-1 v Real Madrid.
Would be one of the biggest relegations we've seen from a major euro league in recent times. Valencia won La Liga twice in 2000s and made two CL finals. They've also recently won copa del rey in 2019 and played in CL in previous two seasons.
It's been coming though. Been horribly run for a few years now and sold some key players over the summer. That said their squad still has Cillissen, Gaya, Guedes, Wass, Cheryshev, Kevin Gamiero and Maxi Gomez so good level of experience still there and they've got some exciting young players like Musah and Kang Lee.
Their last remaining option is to give Voro yet another spell as caretaker manager. He's actually done brilliantly in last 5 years in coming in a couple of times when they've been really struggling mid season and comfortably kept them up so will likely happen in next few weeks.
This is one to watch I suspect. Going to be a higher points total to stay up in La liga than prem given everyone from 17th above is averaging at least a point a game currently.
