Not sure if this belongs in here or the entertainment forum but it looks really well done:
Looks like Disney+ for folks in the UK.What channel is it on in the UK?

I enjoyed the first two episodes. I’m with you it reminded me of Sunderland Till I Die. It seemed to be way more about the local fans and how the team impacts them and the community rather then the football and what’s going on inside the locker room.First 2 episodes were good. Looking forward to getting to know the squad for the new season. It looks potentially more raw with less propaganda than the All or Nothing series. I'm hoping it will be closer to Sunderland Til I Die.
I think that's the aim as I remember McElhenny said in an interview the idea to buy Wrexham came to him after he watched Sunderland Til I DieFirst 2 episodes were good. As well as the obvious (buying the club and putting more money in for better players), they’ve bought back the freehold and started plans to redevelop/open The Kop - for decades, it was the main end of the ground. So I headed over to Wrexhams forums since I got curious how they felt, and it appears the fanbase is pretty happy with their owners. I unearthed a bunch of articles of both Rob and Ryan doing a lot of good in the local community as well, so thats nice to know. Looking forward to watching this
I was wondering this too. I thought for sure they would mention the price, but they did not.Anyone know how much they paid? What’s a national league club go for?
£2 million.Anyone know how much they paid? What’s a national league club go for?
Wow, assuming that included the stadium, that seems like a bargain.£2 million.
Is Mac rich? Obviously Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld made megabucks by retaining the rights to Seinfeld but... that was Seinfeld. IASIP is utterly brilliant but it's not ubiquitous or overly mainstream. I can't imagine he's that wealthy. That's a lot less than I thought. The price of a subpar vacation property for those two.
His net worth is somewhere around £40m, but that of course does not mean he has that in cash. Ryans value is probably significantly higher, considering him and his wife donate millions to charities every year, and he already has several extremely successful ventures with Mint Mobile and the award winning Maximum Effort marketing company. For a club like Wrexham, they might as well be saudi billionaires. Is Mac rich? Obviously Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld made megabucks by retaining the rights to Seinfeld but... that was Seinfeld. Disney+Where can I watch it?
I thought Charlie Day when I first heard Rob was buying it, considering they're best mates since school days.I didn’t realise that the new owners had never met until they bought the club.
In a nutshell, yes, he is as he started off in 05 getting 75 grand per episode now he is on 450 grand per episode. Is Mac rich? I can't imagine he's that wealthy.
Yes it’s close to Liverpool with a lot of links. I know Ian Rush finished there and Alan Kennedy was there and there was definitely more players I’m not thinking of. It really is a good show especially the red tape the new owners had to go through to rebuild the Kop.Really enjoying this and especially loving the fan stories. Those are some true fans at Wrexham. As an American unfamiliar with these things, would those fans also have PL clubs they support? Or is that unheard of? I see Wrexham isn't that far from Manchester/Liverpool on the map.
Wonder when Rob and Ryan actually make a visit. Seems to be building up to this. Btw, that cnut Alex Hamilton makes the Glazers look like Mother Teresa.
Yeah, most football fans in the area support either United or Liverpool first and foremost (I think a good half or so of Wrexham fans probably have one of those two as their 'second team' as well).Really enjoying this and especially loving the fan stories. Who cares if Ryan can bag a Tiktok sponsorship when Rob can bring Fight Milk to Wrexham?I mean Ryan sold Aviation Gin for £610m and still remained on their board and as main spokesperson - he’s got plenty of money to get them where they need to be.
The biggest factor in this is that he’s also a commercial powerhouse - the guy can literally just pull up Instagram or TikTok and make an advert for anything in seconds. Companies will be desperate to sponsor Wrexham for figures closer to premier league than national league just based on his global reach.
Yeah, I'm with you. By all accounts it appears the club are heading in the right direction, but you don't really see much of that process. And the bits you do see (like the stadium purchase zoom calls) seem so condensed and scripted.I have to say, I'm dissapointed with this. Without wishing to be harsh, I really don't care to see an endless parade of Wrexham fans each episode, I had hoped for the actual running of the club to have been the focus of the show. And the very specific type of fan being highlighted feels borderline exploitative. Additionally, I find it difficult to believe anything Rob and Ryan say.
I don’t get what you mean by the real story. 90% of the show is about the owners who seem geniune enough. I think Todd Boehly should do himself a favor and watch them operate since they’re fellow Americans in the same business. Difference is they know they haven’t a clue but admit it in a self deprecating way which is refreshing. They aren’t making stupid suggestions about the club or the sport but are hiring people on advice of some very smart people and at the least will leave the club in better shape than what they found it in. On top of that they are funny as feck. If I wanted to know more about the football aspect the I could go watch an All or Nothing show. Right now episode 8 is when they go to an away match and they look terrified which is funny in itself. A very entertaining show and not too serious.Yeah, I'm with you. There's definitely a place for the fans but they're way too much of the focus. I get why they want to do it, and it can work well (the Sunderland documentary got the balance right), but for this they seem to have neglected the real story - two Hollywood actors buying a non League club.
Wrexham have a population of 135k while Manchester has around 530k, with more top level clubs too.How much potential for growth do Wrexham have? I gather it's a reasonable catchment area for population as far as Wales goes, but I'm guessing that's still probably not that many people?
