Lingard's movement making all the difference. Herrera looking a bit tired today.Rooney at times struggling to track West Brom's RB.

I can definitely see West Brom creating a few chances through crosses/set pieces. Desperately need the killer 2nd goal. Hopefully Martial comes on after 60 min if score remains the same.

Watching that replay it falls at an uncomfortable height before he hits it. Misses happen

We've played some good football, the midfield 3 is purring, we are a little sluggish on the left side though, need to be careful.

Not clinical enough as always but apart from that good performance so far.

The difference between us and a team like Chelsea at the moment is Chelsea create two or three chances and score two goals, we create ten chances and score one or none.

We better get Martial on quick, you see what a little bit of pace does against their left FB, well their right FB is even slower, even I would outrun him.

Get Martial charging at him asap.
I think Jose prefers Rashford instead.

Can I say that, instead of the usual inviting pressure, we plays to keep possession, after the goal?

It's not breaking up but I swear they've downgraded the 'HD' picture to try and make people pay for 4K.
Yeah it does look a little weak compared to usual. I've had this breaking up problem before too it took ages for them to come and sort it

Caught between whether to attack or to defend. Need to be more incisive on the break and continue to play those direct balls for Jesse to chase.

Rojo has been a monster at the back so far. Directing traffic and being very vocal. Pogba is terrific in midfield.

Now we just need to get that 2nd goal. Rooney and Lingard came close but once again our finishing doesnt look convincing.

Steven Gerrard might have overtaken Michael Owen as the most boring pundit, didn't think that was possible.

Our midfield 3 have run the game. But yes we need to go for the second goal.

Just tuned in. I know about the lead. Not bad for the old guy. :)
    Are we any good overall?
Played very well for 35 minutes or so, nice one-touch stuff, perhaps a little over-elaborate at times, but the side are obviously confident. Then seemed to take our foot off the gas a little for the final 10 minutes of the half. West Brom have been getting some joy in wide areas but Rojo and Jones have done a great job dealing with Rondon. Lingard missed a sitter, so it really should be 2-0.

On a side note, Rooney has obviously sharpened-up in recent weeks, his first touch is much-improved, he's working hard and he looks a little more trim, but it's just not there for him anymore physically, he's simply too slow.

Lingard has been very good but should have hit the target just before half time. We need a 2nd, West Brom look more than capable of getting an equaliser.

Actually refreshing to have Trevor Morley in the studio, advocating for some physicality in the game.

Think he has had a few today though, got that slur going on.

Apart from a poor 10-15 minute period where we lost all urgency and movement, it was a pretty good half. We need to go for the second though. Hopefully we come out guns blazing in the second half, and get two quick goals and settle the game.

Not sure I can handle another second half with a one goal lead!

Who/what was it? I just got in now.
Lingard. Darmian had some horrible shot which turned into a world class assist. Left Lingard in the box and he hit the shot straight into the stands. Should have been 2-0

    Zero composure

Lingard has been outstanding. Best I have ever seen him play in a United shirt. Though I do believe Pulis will change it up second half and have West Brom playing with more width in order to nullify the threat down their left flank.

Let's hope Pulis is to stupid to spot it!

Lingard can easily beat his fullback marker. Not sure why Valencia and Co. are playing short balls to him when they should let him run over the top.

Don't know why people were fretting about the Baggies, they've done nothing really. We do need the second goal though so we can get some players on.
