This season tops the Moyes one as worst post-Fergie for many reasons (and it could get worse yet if the scousers win everything…)

The players have largely exposed themselves to be unprofessional pricks and the way the club has been badly run for years is now manifesting itself in the worst possible ways.

Who are the exceptions within the club, players or otherwise, who have come out of the season looking okay or even well?

Ronaldo

I was sceptical of his signing, and grew to become really frustrated with him mid way through the season (hated his antics when subbed in particular) and suspected he may have been causing some chaos behind the scenes but he’s proved the doubters wrong these past few months, stepping up and turning in world class performances when the rest of the team was collapsing around him. Been exceptional since the Spurs game.

De Gea

Still glaring holes in his game and his overall level as a keeper is overstated but he has dug us out many times this season (as in others). He always fronts up to the press and he is one of the few who seems genuinely disgusted and ashamed after some of our worst performances this season. He gets what it is to be a United player.

Mata

Barely played for about two seasons, wasted most of his career here under a string of ill suited managers but never moans and when he finally plays it like he was never away. A top player and a class act.

Jones

Gets a ridiculous amount of shit from his own fans, mocked worldwide by the meme twats on social media, has fought back from a potentially career ending injury but like Mata has put in a shift every time he’s featured. If he could stay fit (big if) I’d honestly keep him at the club, he’s a very strong back up CB.

Fred

Similar to Jones is abused by his own fans, blamed for most of our midfield woes but is actually incredibly under rated. Always puts in a shift and has done for every manager he’s played under.

McKenna

Called an amateur, fraud etc by our fans, supposedly not respected by the players despite being highly rated in his previous coaching roles. Had the balls to walk and take a job at a lower league club where he’s doing okay so far. Compare that to Phelan who’s happy to stick around and keep taking his fat salary.
