I'm guessing they'll try and raid Bournemouth for the best player(s)
They won't go down with those players tbfIt's hard to tell, if they were relitevely safe from relegation I'd say the likes of Barkley, Lingard etc would go there. As it is I can't see them chancing being stuck in the Champ unless Newcastle can arrange a loan with obligations to buy only if they stay up.
If they're already playing catch up it can't be ruled out. They won't go down with those players tbf
They need to stay up first and foremost. If they're stupid then they'll hoover up the big name players on the way down that high ranking clubs have had enough of, Aubameyang, Dele Ali, Martial, and Oxlande Chamderlain spring to mind, if they're smart then they'll look elsewhere and do something unexpected, but I doubt it.
Could add a few moreGarrido
Santa Cruz
Elano
Benjani
Would be a great signing for them. Vast improvement on what they have.Tarkowski.
Isn't he on something ludicrous like 350k a week?Ramsey must be a cert.
He's not even going on Juve's bench now despite being fit (think he's been punished for what he said about their training on Welsh duty).
That's if Everton don't come in with 50m bid of course.
Just a loan deal until end of the season I suspect like most signings Newcastle will make. Can't remember if he signed 3 or 4 year deal at Juve so Juventus may decide to pay half of his salary for final year if they sell him.Isn't he on something ludicrous like 350k a week?
Even with their supposed riches they're not going to start with someone on that or more.
It would be worth it to get him away from Liverpool.Lingarď and Martial are good shouts.
But someone like Origi. For a ludicrous fee like 30m.
Part of me is really curious to see what happens next season if they get relegated. Who will they be able to buy in the championship that will ensure they get promoted? The Championship seems like such an unpredictable league. For any top player to go to Newcastle there would have to be escape clauses for the players in the event of relegation. Big names ain't sticking around to play in the Championship.
I highly doubt Newcastle will be looking at the equivalent of those 2 in 2003 to save them. Wasnt Ferdinand over 35 and Bowyer injured/past it at the time?If they're already playing catch up it can't be ruled out.
West Ham in 2003 added Bowyer and Les Ferdinand to a squad already consisting of the likes Defoe, Joe Cole, Carrick and Di Canio and couldn't save themselves.
