Darren Ferguson among others wondering why it was allowed that WBA took sweat shirts from the crowd to wipe the ball. Should be the same provision for both teams no?

Shaw was doing it before a Wolves corner yesterday for some reason.

I'd class it as 'unsportsmanlike' behaviour. Straight red should sort it out.

Im sure there is no rule against wiping the ball against the inside of your underwear before the throw in. Enjoy the long header throwin boys

More importantly why have they stopped that multi-ball system they had in place for Covid last season?

I know it was for Covid restrictions which have been eased but I thought it was a massive improvement on limiting the opportunity for time wasting. Also especially when your trying to keep momentum chasing a goal.

Definitely should have kept that.

Mine generally need a good wiping every 24/48 hours.

A real MOT once a month.

Nothing worse than a wet set of balls, good ball hygiene is always a plus..

If wet then tough sheeeaaat. I don't like the ball wiping. Rags are not part of the kit, and therefore, should be banned. Wipe it on your shirt, shorts, socks, headband or underpants if you want. Any piece of unauthorised kit used to gain an advantage should mean the match is forfieted 3-0.

But in all seriousness,

Football pitch is a wet surface. When you're going for a throw in, you want the ball to be dry so you won't lose the grip.

Hence, close the thread. Unless we want to keep joking about wiping our balls off.
