Lads I need your help on this one. Do you think my account has been hacked ? I have tried choosing "Merge WOW account" but when I log into this it says my user details are incorrect
Have you had a message in game prior to this happening saying something about your account needing validating.....something thats led you onto a official looking WoW login to verify your details or character name?
If so, that's a phishing scam and yes you may have been hacked.

Got it working in the end. WOW contacted me via email. For some bizarre reason I had the US client. It's odd because I was playing the game fine 6 days ago. In any case it's all sorted.

Once you get to level 60 you can learn to fly and that makes questing so much faster.
I think the new expansion is out on Tuesday so in a few days you'll find a ton of new characters levelling up. Will make finding groups for dungeons really fast for you.
I'd help out (i'm gonna get the expansion and dust off my Rogue after a few months) but i'm on another server and another faction. For the Horde!

I reset my Iphone recently and forgot I had an authenticator on it and the Blizzard support line is very busy so I could do with someone opening a ticket for me.... please?

I'm currently in a queue to play, i'm 1161st in line with an average wait of 2 hours. That's insane.
If you can talk to a GM, you can say that a friend of yours has an authenticator on their account that they cannot use and they will remove the authenticator.

What number are you in line ? I wonder do some servers cater for a larger quantity of accounts ? I'm on Silvermoon.

Not following. Last time this happened to me, as soon as it got to zero I was able to enter world

If your going to do that, go into a room and walk into a corner facing the walls and press caps lock so you are running against the wall.
When the servers are busy, the auto disconnect from server time when you go afk is cut right down to a minute or two.
Right. But I thought that when you get logged off it brings you back out to your character page where you can re-enter world without waiting.
Also, why Caps lock ? Caps lock doesn't do anything in my game. Do I have to allocate it to do something ? i.e Run
Yeah but again, the auto disconnect time for even the character selection screen is cut to just a few minutes when there is a queue to log in.
Caps should "auto run", if it doesn't you can assign it to do it.

When will the queueing system dissipate ? Can anyone speak from experience ?
My copy of Cataclysm arrived today. Suppose I could install that but not much point considering my level of 58

Can't speak for WOTLK since I'm a latecomer to that, but for the BC there were at least 2 hour queues for at least a month after launch on my server. Only time I was able to get on within 15 mins was if I played really early mornings.

There are always queues when an expansion comes out. Back in the day in vanilla wow though there were 1000 person queues nightly on my server because it was on of the original WoW servers before they added a bajillion of them. I remember raiding and the server crashing mid boss fight because the servers couldn't handle the stress. Also, we formed a 200 person raid on Ironforge that crashed the Eastern Kingdoms server for an hour. That was when the only AH was in Orgrimmar/Ironforge so no one was ever in the other cities and everyone was in Org/IF. Then you add on the 40-man raids and there's just a huge concentration of people in those cities and in instances. It was still the most fun I've had playing a video game. Everything still felt like an achievement back then...
I won't be buying Cataclysm though. I've been clean for almost 3 years with only one 3-4 month relapse. I'm getting nostalgic though...
