I actually think Perišić could be used mostly on the right, with Martial and Rashford fighting for the leftwing.

I guess with Mata and Martial we'd be flying for taking the Premier League…If we had Perisic on one wing and Rashford on the other we'd be doing well to finish sixth next season.

In 4-3-3, maybe. But I don't think we'll feature that way most of the games, so I'm still seeing Mkhitaryan as #10. Anyway, a 4-3-3 with Mkhitaryan on one side and Perišić on the other would be very cautious in most games, even for Mourinho. Both Rashford and Perisic can be classified as out and out wingers so both together will make the team looks like what we were when Young and Valencia were playing on both sides some years ago: dreadful.
I'm sure Mikhi will be the RW who will drift inside to the midfield with the LW the one who's considered an out and out.

I see your point, but I don't agree at all. Pogba is going to be more and more of an #8, not a #10. I will concede 4-3-3 the most likely when, since Herrera provides no attacking threat whatsoever, we sign someone like Nainggolan. We're going for the 4-3-3 obviously for me, but on paper only, We'll play the new DM and Herrera with Pogba much further on the pitch like somewhat a number 10, with Mikhi drifting to inside the midfield and Perisic being on the flank. It's exactly like how we played in December which was our best period in the season. I'm sure Jose's going to build the team somewhat on this period.
I'll only say we're going for 4-2-3-1 if we sign a player like James but with the set we're signing I see the 4-3-3 coming.

More like "would you be happy if Woodward stopped flying halfway around the world to watch the fecking Lions tour and concentrated on getting players in before the tour starts?". I don't want to buy players for the sake of it but there are loads of benefits to getting them in earlier and excuses like "Chelsea asked us to wait" and "Madrid asked us to wait" are lame.We may soon have to change the title to: "Would you be happy with Matic and Lindelof?"
Was going to post the same thing myself. With one player signed jose must have been having kittens when he found out woodward had fecked off to new zealand.More like "would you be happy if Woodward stopped flying halfway around the world to watch the fecking Lions tour and concentrated on getting players in before the tour starts?". The tours about money, sponsorship and 'foreign audiences' I know, but it's also about the squad gelling, especially the new players, so they hit the league games in form. The sooner new players are in, the sooner they can settle, the sooner Jose finds out what's good/what needs changing, the sooner the medical staff can get them on United programmes, etc, etc.
Hopefully Morata is sorted in a few days per paper rumours.... get him and a def mid (not Matic) and I'd take that.
Modern footballers are lazy pigs.Yeah, it's taken from credible sports magazine site that compared his stats with Lewandowski's (in April). Btw the latter's unsurprisingly better with a score of 10.05 km.
Don't worry, Mourinho could turn him into a workhorse winger.I'm guessing that Jose wants to have on the wings players more defensively reliable than the Gabon striker cum winger. Aubameyang has very poor defensive stats and does look like he's economizing his running for attacking sequences with average distance covered by him at 9.32km.
Nainggolan
Morata
Fabinho
Lucas or Perisic
… are the transfers I'd be happy with.
This is the thing thats keeping me relaxed at the moment.
If however, Chelsea start signing Sandro, Lukaku etc, Liverpool land Keita and Virgil with us still stuck in limbo, ...concern will set it.
City and 'Pool have strengthened to a much greater degree than us already and finished higher last year (while winning feck all in fairness).
We need more goals and speed of play, pretty badly. Signings won't fix that alone, the football needs to be better than it was for parts of last season, but new blood will definitely help.
To think that these two players might play together next season.
Awkward![]()

Itll be Lindelof, Lukaku, Fabinho and Dembele.
