Feels like the players are in full control of the situation, deciding when to apply themselves and when to take a holiday.
It wreaks of a motivational issue from the management to the players, such that they're now relying on self-motivation, which is fine if they can do that consistently throughout a long gruelling season of football, but they're clearly unable to do that.

Ole is not the future, or not the answer for this season. If the board wants to sack Ole then time is now. Don't wait till too late and moral of the team is too down. Get a new coach when there is still time. Time of now Ed.
This win should be enough to keep him in charge through the WBA & Istanbul games, which we'll draw/lose, leading to calls for him to be sacked on the eve of the PSG game, which we'll win.

Look, today was a good win.
But the bigger picture is, it still just isn't good enough.
Today the commentators said that if we win it's a better start to the season than last. We were awful last season until Bruno came in, so this is nothing to cheer about.
If we lost, it would have been the worst start in 29 years I think they said. This in itself shows how bad our starts have been the last two years. If people think that is good enough, then I'm at a loss.
Again, today was a good win, I don't think the performance was bad, but I don't think it was great either.
That being said, if Martial and Rashford were better today we could have seen a decent performance turn into a good performance.
I think this is were Ole needs to really up his game. He needs to get the best out of these players. I look at the squad, and baring a few problems, I still see this side as a top 4 side, who should be pushing Liverpool and City closer (I don't see this lot as a title winning team).
Having Fred and McTominay on the pitch at the same time. It looks good when they're breaking up play, which they do a lot, and did a lot again today, but I think we just need to play more on the front foot. Have Donny next to one of them. Trust the team more than making sure we don't concede.

I think we have had harder games at home I guess. Still very poor. I guess it is more the case that playing at home without fans is no advantage.
In the games that suit us we have mainly played away from home.

For every amazing result he pulls out of the hat against a team who would probably beat us, he gives us 2-3 bad results against teams we should beat.

Ole spot on about scheduling of these game. Long trip to Turkey midweek and then having to play at 12 on a Saturday. Shaw out injured for some time now and linedof and Rashford will be injury doubts.
3rd and no cup when you spend 200m pounds on the market last year is not a good year in my book.
We were literally bottom half when he took over and recouped a massive amount of that money whilst decreasing the wage bill drastically.
That’s because we only won by luck I think or the other team was crap, or that a player that used to get called shit and useless is now keeping Ole in a job or something.

He is absolutely right. I am Ole out but he is absolutely right. He has got an injury now to a crucial player. We get to play on Saturday morning. They could have got us to play on a Sunday as it's the international week after that.

I've no complaints with Ole's recruitment or man management. He's done a great job there. Tactically and in game is where he will lose his job. Today was not about going up against Everton and coming out on top as a team, they were outplaying us until Bruno turned superman, and would have continued to do so if he hadn't.
When we actually have to dictate the play we're clueless. Which is why we're so awful at home. We are a one dimensional counter attacking side.

No, I'm delighted we won. The issue is we are going down the same route again, where we will see inconsistent performances from a poor managerial team. This year, there are no clear run away teams that can challenge, if we get some proper people in, and that includes getting rid of Woodward we have a great chance of actually competing. It's been 7 years since we actually have been in a race for a title.

I think we're used to watching title challengers, which gives us this false notion that form is temporary and class is permanent, and that we're only a game away from putting together a long string of victories.
I guess that we just need to adapt to our new status as a perennial top four challenger, which inevitably comes with a lot of inconsistency - some weeks we'll get hammered, some weeks we'll dish out the hammerings. Spurs and Arsenal fans are probably pretty used to this by now.
Never said I disagree with what he said, it's how it was delivered. He looked weak and not like a leader to me.
Ifs, buts and maybes. The fact we have had an awful start and we still can get to challenge should be an indicator to get rid of ole now and get someone in who can get some consistency.

I have no recollection of being the same under Jose. A lot were expecting title or bust. Since Ole took over fans expectations have spiralled to the bottom. Everyone looks for an excuse for being average and having up and downs. It’s Liverpool under Hodgson.
From the look of it more and more United supporters embrace being average and coupled with the board lack of ambition to win on the pitch is really sad to see.

Fred and McT had it under control in midfield.
Lindelof and Maguire won every header in the 2nd half. Calvert Lewin was quiet.
De Gea didn't have to do anything after their first goal.
It was our forward being wasteful this time.
Common sense would tell you that Everton are the HOME team the impetus was for them to attack and lead possession. We have won most of our away fixtures for this self same fact. The reason why Ole for example has struggled against Arsenal (home +, away) with Arteta is because this present Arsenal team don't play with a huge emphasis on possession hence they are a bogey team under our present management.
We are not a team that thrives on being tasked to take ownership of a game the fact our balance of play is so poor further highlights. It would be foolish for any fan to assume that Solskjaer is an attacking manager because we thrive under the opposite circumstances.
It's a shame we aren't run like a proper footballing club these days. Because a proper footballing club would have brought in a better manager a long time ago, in addition to never appointing this one in the first place. On we go with another pointless win to continuously push back progress. 1 loss in the short run to get a better manager in or continuously wallow in the delusion that we are going anywhere as a club, I know which one any rational person will choose. We are going downwards and nowhere else, slowly and gradually becoming a 4th-7th place team. A bit like Everton during Moyes' heyday. We should bring him back.
We will probably win the next 2 to 3 games and then lose/draw the next few games after that. Rinse and repeat. Ole should be gone from the beginning. There is no consistency with this man.
