Was reading this story in Teamtalk where fans are demanding Ferguson to make a statement and let it out in the open...

What do you think? Should he make a statement? Do fans have the right to demand a clarification on the issue from the manager?

I know for one that I would like to get it sorted.. no matter what the outcome will be.. I don't want Becks to leave but I hate being kept waiting for the outcome...

No. Whether it's a footballing reason or because of all the Beckham hype, would it really help the manager outlining the problems the player has when you're trying to sell him ?!

No, it's part of his job to buy and sell players. He let's the achievements do the talking for him.

No Malteser has a 'right to know' what Sir Alex does at work.

On the long run it will also help SAF to rub away that unjust image of being a tyrant (giving to him by the media)

As Giggzy said, we'll get both views in their books anyway, which is the same really as it will be over the news and people won't have to actually by the books for those parts. For the moment, say absolutely nothing.

No point in telling the world and the clubs who want to buy him that he's a cr*p player ;)

I don't care how the media portray's SAF.

....anyhow, the media will always portray SAF and United as evil.... thats unless we become mediocre again.

Saying why he sells Becks won't help.

He says it's because of footballing reason, you'll find geniouses who'll say he is nuts because Beckham is one of the best players in the world.

He says it's because of all the publicity, they say he's jealous and can't accept the fact there's a figure bigger than him at United.

Say nothing, don't feed the media. They're just praying for an actual quote to feed on rather than 'friends'.

”The manager always does what he thinks is best for United. If he can bring in three or four class players with the money he gets for David, then who can argue?”

If mediocre means getting relegated, we will still be portrayed as evil (if 1973-75 is any guide).

I wasn't around for the really mediocre days of the twenties and thirties but guess we weren't the evil empire then.

I've said before, it's no one's right to demand that Ferguson come out and justify himself.

And as has been said here, no matter what he could say, it would be twisted by the press.

If he is fear that his word will be twisted by media, he can choose a "friendly" media such as MUTV or the club magazine to talk about it.

Now there are over a dozen reasons invented by people in this forum about why Becks will be sold. Are all of you not curious at all which one would be the "real" reason behind it?
