I think whoever's in charge needs to get Sanchez and Pogba back to their world class best
Exactly what I was thinking as well. Those are two world class players who have functioned somewhere between poor and average.

With what we have:

-------------------DDG
Dalot---Bailly--Lindelof---Shaw
----------Herrera---Pogba
Sánchez-----Mata----Martial
-----------------Rashford

Give minutes to Greenwood on the FA Cup and on the 2nd half of easy wins. Same with Pereira, Gomes and Chong.

Surprised at those putting Fellaini in as a defensive mid, it has been his least effective position for us. Whoever plays in that role needs to be aggressive, quick and able to transition from defence to attack. Hopefully our midfield will be freed up to play on the front foot now.

I want to see that line-up given a bit of a run and see how it goes. There's a few spots there they may not work (Dalot, Bailly, Pereira, Sanchez), but I'd like to try to stick to something close to that.

Fellaini was surprisingly good in the couple of games earlier this season when he was played very deep (almost as a third central defender). If we wanted to play almost a modified 352 with our fullbacks pushing forward a lot I would be interested to see how he went there. From memory though those matches were against two lower teams that had target men strikers, so no idea if he'd be suitable the rest of the time.

I definitely wouldn't want him to play in a more 'normal' defensive midfield role.

With Rashford and Lingard rotating in when needed.
And more opportunities for Andreas, Gomez, Chong and Greenwood please

Mourinho going I think will get the players back mentally and a bit more freedom will have them playing much better, I feel. Top 4 is still possible because the squad's quality can definitely have us go on a good run.

This would be my exact team. The season is over as far as the league is concerned. We need to focus on players who have a future here and are of a good age. Enough of the 7 foot tall auto picks. It's not a team without issues but we've got nothing to lose now between here and the end of season.

We need to up the tempo in our play - Matic and Fellaini should not be starting ever again. Sanchez for Lukaku if he doesn't up his game soon.

We really need to start working on moving forward as a club so we need to start phasing out the Deadwood - Valencia, Rojo, Jones, Fellaini, Young. Players like Darmian, Lingard and Mata are good enough as backup / squad players.

A hybrid of 4312/ 442 diamond which is flexible into playing 433 few moments in the game.

DeGea
Lingard* Bailly Smalling Shaw
TFM* Fred
Pogba
Lukaku* Sanchez Martial

*Lingard can actually cross the ball unlike Valencia & Dalot, has the energy to run up and down unlike Dalot who's starts struggling at 60th min, andahas some experience playing that position. Best option until we bring someone else in.

*TFM is probably the best combination of defensive prowess, with some ability to pass. I'd use Herrera against the weaker sides, but if we have Pogba & Fred in the midfield we need our defensive minded midfielder. Best one we have available in the club.

*Lukaku (slimmed down) on right the way he used to play Everton is still our best option on that flank. Use Sanchez as more of a false 9 with Martial & Lukaku as wide forwards stretching the defense. Should give Pogba Sanchez plenty of room to operate in the middle.

We can't forget the season is done and we have a lot of shite in our squad. That won't change for the rest of the season. I can see a caretaker starting with.....

DDG
Dalot, Bailly, Lindelöf, Young (if Shaw's not fit)
Matic, Herrera
Pogba
Mata, Martial
Rashford

With the front 3 interchanging and moving fluidly.

We won't rip up trees. But we might be easier on the eye at the very least.

De Gea, Smalling, Shaw, Herrera, Martial are guaranteed starters for me. I'd like to see a few games of Martial, Mata, Lingard, Rashford with Pogba and Herrera in midfield and see how fluid this team is capable of being.

Can't see that happening given the caretaker will be an external appointment. He will still want to win as many games as possible, and will likely prioritise short term options over youth players.
He’ll want to appease the fans with number one attacking play and number two youth imo, especially if it’s Ole as seems likely now.

Would like to see us rid of Pogba, and probably Sanchez too but the attacking options are too slim to not play the latter.

There's every chance that Fred and Sanchez could continue to disappoint, however. Pereira can replaced Fred if so.

Will be good to see Bailly to get a run in the team, together with Fred. Also Pogba - so I can see whether I've been harsh on his performances because of Jose or if he still continues to deceive.
