Hughes
Whiteside
Robson
Kanchelskis
Beckham

the first 3 are probably influenced by my childhood, especially Hughes. I’d be practicing volleys everyday and became quite good at them
No goalie/no team
Edwin van der Sar (Cups...)
David de Gea (The only reason we are not in the Championship)
Rio Ferdinand (One of the Best defenders of all time from England)
Paul Scholes (Mr. consistent, the puppet master)
Wayne Roooney (The bull) (Cristiano Ronaldo - don't like the way it ended, but for sure a player that should be celebrated)

Becks, RVN, Rio and Ronaldo all very close.

I don't see anyone new getting close to that top 5 for a long time, if ever in my lifetime

Robson - world class despite being often injured.
Stevie Coppell - my first favorite player
Ronaldo - watching him develop into the best player in the world was magical
Cantona - the king
Whiteside - beloved by all who saw him play
Whiteside is a good shout actually. Brilliant player and that curler in the 85 cup final was a piece of unadulterated magic.

Just found them all very likeable, and I always supported the Irish a little more, feel it's a big shame we haven't had one in a good while. Was hoping for Ferguson

Id have to go with the players I most wanted to see play-
Denis Law, George Best, Eric Cantona, Bobby Charlton, Ronaldo or Rooney.

Looking for the answers...
Absolutely astonished to see RvP to make so many top 5 of all time lists.

An amazing player that delivered a league title and a fitting send off for fergie, but top 5 of all time?? You guys are mental / blinded by romanticism for that last title.

Of course “favourites” are subjective and you’re entitled to your opinion but my god, surely there must be more qualified players…

In terms of players in my lifetime - Cantona, Beckham, OGS, Rooney, Ronaldo.

Scholes, Vidic, Giggs, Ruud and Rio would likely make my favourite 10.

Strange that you’ve 2 absolute legends on your least favourite list, as well as 2 of our best ever players. To each their own.

Of those I've watched live Cantona,Keane,Hughes,Vidic,Robson would probably make my top 5 short list. United teams from the late 80s to 2013 was filled with pure leaders and characters that would have many different favourites for each supporter. Less said the last decade the better whereby one would struggle to name a favourite never mind a top 5.
