From what I can tell, it says "your team will be deducted x points", but it doesnt appear to take them off straight away atleast. Wont find out until later in the week I suppose.

Before last season I registered my team before I knew there was a league but was let in. Was in this season but now the league is gone so I guess I've been kicked out because of my name that I couldn't change?

Anyone who registers without using their Caf username in their team or manager name will be deleted - you can change your Team Name at any time so there is no excuse.

I have sent out a few more codes, will be closing the league to new entries in the next few days.

Vorm had an impressive game last night, don't get me wrong, but if he kept that up all season I'd be surprised. Putting him in over the tried and trusted Schwarzer after one game is a tad knee-jerk.

Alex won't play as often as Simpson, IMO, but when he does play I presume he'll keep more clean sheets. Your call there, steady appearance points or infrequent CS points.

I thought about putting Woodgate in but then it's almost guaranteed that in the future it's going to cost a transfer to take him back out when he gets injured!

I have both in my team so I rate both.

Not sure of pricing but I can see Downing getting a fair few assists this season. Reo-Coker's a bit of an unknown quality. He might even get played more defensively alongside Muamba this season.

Again, one game. I'd risk not getting any points from Aguero's next game before taking a huge financial hit for him. Without being unfair, he did it against Swansea in his first game. It's not like he's going to be that poorly marked for the other 37 games!

Suarez would be a good bet but then again, I can see DJ Campbell getting most of the goals for QPR. Suarez is obviously a better player but for FF is he actually going to get more points?

Phillip, same! If only I'd not derped up quite as bad with my sub orders I'd be one point ahead of you. Overall, I'm happy with that though. Not a bad week considering some of my main players didn't get involved.

Before gameweek 2. They've announced we have unlimited free transfers before then. If you've already been deducted points for transfers they said they'd give them back.

The downgrades of Schwarzer and Alex was simply to generate enough cash to get Aguero and Suarez in. The way i see it, is i'd be replacing downing and n'zogbia for aguero and suarez as they are the more expensive players if you will, and replacing rodallega and campbell with reo coker and jarvis. I know it was only Swansea but i can see Aguero grabbing a bucketload this season.

So can we make as many changes as we want from now? Mine still says it will deduct 4 points.

Did I mention it was a shambles?

Anyway, you're in a bit of a 'damned if you do, damned if you don't' situation, so you have my full support, even though I had no need to do a single transfer meself.

So we won't be deducted any points if we make transfers tomorrow? Do we have to make the transfers today itself for the points to be given back to us tomorrow?

Used the free wild card to completely re-work my team and going for a 4-5-1 - no value in the market for forwards.

Have a look at the transfer page. It says you can make unlimited transfer til 20 Aug at 11.30.

I just made a bunch of transfer and it didn't cost me any points. If I want to change any of them I believe I can change them without any cost until the deadline.

Managed to get myself an Aguero-RVP-Rooney frontline. Bring on the points barrage.

Just to clarify, it is the same as gameweek 1 in the unlimited transfer terms, and not just like an extra wildcard where you only "confirm" once?

Why is it like that? It should only be unlimited transfers until the first week.
Because the whole thing crashed on Friday night / Sat morning and loads of people weren't able to get their teams sorted in time for the deadline.

Lots of folk had loads of changes left to do and doing it 1 per week would have taken an age or at least cost 4 points per transfer.

It will appear that the changes are costing 4 points but the points should be given back to you at the end of today.

What's your midfield and defence like?
Haven't made too many changes to my side in the weekend other than shipping out Vidic for Zat Knight, Kyle Walker for Jack Robinson (young lad at Liverpool) and Kevin Doyle for Aguero

My current starting 11 reads as

.........................................Begovic............................

Jose Enrique........Kompany.........Shawcross.......Zat Knight

....................Sinclair..........Brunt.............Nani................

Aguero..............................RVP..........................Rooney

Subs: Tiote, Nathan Dyer, Robinson, Al Habsi

Fairly happy with it, bring it on :D

On the one hand, I feel tempted to take advantage of the unlimited transfers, but on the other, I can't find any combo I prefer.

My starting 11:

Schwarzer
Cole----Alex----Kompany---Sagna
Nani----Anderson---Y. Toure--Silva
Rooney----Rodallega

Subs: Ruddy, Tiote, Simpson, Ranger

Is it confirmed that it's unlimited transfers this gameweek? Has anyone tried it? I really don't want to make a load of transfers that will cost an absolute bomb in points

Well Misty, there are people you can trust, and people you can't trust.

Thank you for your wise words 711. However, I'm going to take the plunge and risk it. If it turns out to be some elaborate hoax which has infiltrated the fpl website and the dugouts website, then fair fecks haha.

Here goes :nervous:
