I'd like to see this tried out.. see if we can get more cutting edge into this system. I've actually enjoyed watching us tonight.. good ball retention.
Eh, different strokes and all that. Boring as hell against poor opposition for me.

I prefer boring matches at CL away rather than the gung ho style of last year.

Which is true enough. And it's been a mainstay of our play for years now too. It's always frustrating as shit.

Still, compared to the last few weeks, it's been a huge improvement.
I just don't understand. We were clearly the much better team, we were in full control, we looked threatening. Then we took the lead and stopped playing. They probably increased their efforts or something but we didn't even have a promising counter-attack. It's weird.

Anderson still loves his no look pass..
Did one for no reason in the 90th minute.

Loved how Wootton got a few touches straight away.. They passed it to him to let him get the feel of it.

Decent game.. sat deeper towards the end to defend the lead.. expected. They created chances, so it wasnt perfect, but we kept them out.. so thats good enough.

2 games.. 6 points..
2 more wins and it'll be job done.

So in weekend we will see Scholes trying 50 yards passing to Giggs again. And De Gea being dropped.

Anyway, we weren't that good but probably better than in every game at league. The Ando-Cleverley + another midfielder has a lot of potential, that's for sure.

What's the point in pissing around from the 50th minute? Should have just went for a 3rd then took off Rooney and RVP. Could have conceded right at the end there if it wasn't for that save.

People saying we had good ball retention etc. They dropped off massively. You would expect us or pretty much any other team going up against their system to have the ball for long periods.

How many clear cut chances did we create?

Exactly.

It was an awful display, characterised by sloppy play, poor concentration and a lack of guts.

Very boring football. I fell asleep for most of the second half, I've never fallen asleep before watching a United game even when I've had to wake up at ridiculously early hours still drunk from the night before.

At our best currently the football consists of the midfielders passing it around between each other, eventually realizing we won't create anything through the middle so it gets played out wide, we either cross it and lose possession or play it back to the middle and start over again. It's all we did in the supposedly good second half of the Tottenham game too, I never really felt like we'd score again despite all the possession.
