I'm sure that's John Cofie to the right of Ashley.
It certainly looks like himI'm sure that's John Cofie to the right of Ashley.
I thought that was Ballotelli photoshopped in for a secApparently Wes Brown was in there as well? No idea about the validity of that claim though.
Edit - Rather humerous picture of Ashley Young in the away end, mainly due to the expression on the face of the guy to the right...
You know what you are,I thought that was Ballotelli photoshopped in for a sec
Is it bollocks.Aston Villa is his level
To my suprise, I agree with you. Young frustrates the crap out of me at times, but it really would be nice to see him back in contention now after returning from injury. I'm sure I read somewhere that he only had a goal/assist less than Nani last season - and we all know how good of a season Nani had.I miss him in the squad
Quite agree. Goal threat and can actually cross a ball.I miss him in the squad
Not a very good one for a player of his ability. To my suprise, I agree with you. If we do play the 4-3-2-1 formation, then Young will fit in like a glove. It would give the ability for him to play on the wing as well as his other position behind the attacker.
Is it because Nani has become so crap now and anything but him is better?I miss him in the squad
No. I miss Nani in the first 11. Young for me is the superior substitute off the bench, that is why I said I miss him in the squad. Is it because Nani has become so crap now and anything but him is better?
... He played a huge part in the opening goal! And his run got Ivanovic sent off!Did good in keeping posession, and I was really pleased with that, and was good in defence, but I don't think he did anything special in attack.
Obviously a different one than you. I totally disagree with youHe was awful. Lacked sharpness and confidence and kept letting people run off him all the time and then chasing haplessly after them.
Can see why we started him from a tactical point of view, but I'd have had him off as the first sub because he wasn't on his game at all.
What games do you lot watch?
Agreed. Looked like he wanted nothing to do with the ball at times! When he did get it he didn't look like he wanted to do too much with it either. Think opinions in this thread would have been very different had we lost.I thought he was shite, but he did cover a lot of ground defensively. His confidence is incredibly low, as it was before his injury, and you can see the other players don't really want to pass to him.
Strange decision to play him. But I'm glad to have him back as an option.
