Fair enough. And btw I am I am not talking we should sell him, I am just saying it's that obvious that he wants to go.
no I agree, his body language today compared with the past says it all to be honest. But the window is still open, his advisors/agents have advised him on how to react/perform...."do it on the pitch, son...it's your shop window, but let the world know you are not happy." If that window shuts, and we hold him to that contract that he bastardly won....then lets see what happens. I think Moyes is playing a blinder here. Not for sale....use him as a sub....test his character and mental state.....then say again he's not for sale (which will be re-emphasised in post match I bet yer)...and keep the fecker on tenderhooks right up to the last minute.

It's somewhat upsetting to see someone so unhappy doing something that 99% of lads dream of doing.

You'd think he'd be closer to the lads than that.

There is a lot of amateur body language reading going on here. Granted he wasn't exactly beaming ear to ear, but he did make a decent contribution, even if he clearly wasn't fully match fit.

Best thing for Rooney is the window to slam shut.

Deep down I'm hoping Moyes has been trying to re-light the flame inside Wayne more than anything. People always wanted him tamed and calmed from his hot-headed attitude but Moyes likes a nutter.
I hope DM just sets fire to him. Although to be fair the emopotomus cnut played quite well all things considered. Will hopefully be gone by sept.

It's really disappointing to see him not celebrating with the rest of the team.

He's not been with the first team squad for most of pre-season and probably doesn't feel like 'one of the lads' right now but he should still be making the effort. Hopefully Giggs or Ferdinand will be in his ear to try and build bridges between him and the rest of the squad.

Ruud wanted to leave two years in a row, but he still did a job for us. That said, it was kept quiet by Ruud and Fergie until he left in 2006 instead.

It's a stupid image, and tells no real story. There are only 6 players in that huddle celebrating the goal. If you took a picture from the right angle behind any one of the other 4 not involved it would look no different.

Is anyone here asking why the other 4 aren't celebrating with RVP?

Right mardy arsed attitude today, he'll be alright after a few weeks. Still played well with good movement, bit rusty.
I thought he did the right thing, he'd have been a complete twat if he'd went mental at the goals. He wasn't even grumpy, he was just reserved. He kept him head down and applied himself and looked massively better than he did for England, for someone who clearly wants to leave you can't ask much more.

Was that after the fourth or the third goal?

I think he was tackled during the buildup for Danny's 2nd goal. Still won't sell him to Chelsea but the pic is disappointing.

Why? Not every player in the team is there.

Not to be pedantic, but there's seven United players celebrating in that huddle. De Gea is obviously missing, Tony V never celebrates goals so he's excused and Jones is off pulling faces somewhere.

The only petulant feck unaccounted for is Rooney.

It was RvP's second.

Yeah, but that could be explained in that one that was in goal and that the other three were either in defence or on the opposite side of the pitch. You'd expect Rooney to have perhaps shown some enthusiasm considering he got an assist. No one is saying it's conclusive, but it's fairly clear that Rooney still looks like he doesn't want to be here whatever way you put it, even if you're discounting that image itself.

Are you new to football?

1st goal. Made the pass and then the run to pull 2 defenders away from RVP

2nd goal. Was the only player arsed to really attack Swansea at the end. Great probing run with the ball.
No. Play those passes to Grant Holt and you don't get an assist.

Blaming him for not celebrating is a bit silly. Why would he celebrate with a bunch of players who are pissed off with him?

Did all that could be asked of him today but this can't continue. He should be sold.

I don't blame him for not going up to the supporters. He's obviously wary of the sort of reaction he might get. Best thing to do now is to keep low.

What his contribution has to do with his body language?

Bit harsh on De Gea :(
Why? If a centre half can run and celebrate with RVP, why can't Deal Gea run an extra 18 yards and celebrate too?

Those saying how disappointing it is, wise up. He's not the only one not there, and it was a goal to make it 3-0 in a very comfortable win, not a last minute winner at Anfield.

By all means, call him a cnut for the cnutish things he does, but this rush to read body language and whether he celebrated a goal enough is fecking retarded.

Personally I feel sorry for him, having a dream job, loving and VERY forgiving wife, 2 kids, a place at the biggest football club in the world that regularly wins trophies, being the centre of his countries football hopes and enough money to Persue any possible dream or ambition he may have. What a shit life, I bet we would all look like mardy arsed spoilt children too if we had to suffer like that!

Andy Mitten who at the game said that Wayne Rooney was the only one who didn't come on and clapped the travelling supporters.
Hmm. He's certainly burning even more bridges if that's the case considering he got a really good reception throughout from the fans. As frustrated as he might be he could have at least applauded the support.

I posted this over in the match day thread but probably better suited here.....

In fairness to the bloke and don't get me wrong but I'm not condoning the behaviour it must be very difficult for him hearing all the shite that gets said about him week in week out (yes he hasn't done himself any favours over the years). He was asked to do a job today and I think he done it very well I'm sure he expected to get hammered from the terraces as he has been getting hammered on here and everywhere else.
None of us know (probably not likely to ever know) what has gone on in the dressing room over the last few months for all we know he could have been getting lambasted by the dressing room and now feels like an outcast (I know if it was me I wouldn't be celebrating either)

In the run up to Welbz goal there seemed to be a reluctance on some of the players to play the ball to rooney and it was valencia that played the ball when he made himself available there had been 3/4 previous chances to play the ball to him.

it's about comparisons....from all his seasons before... a happy United Rooney celebrated like all the rest of them, sometimes even more. It's very very obvious today that he's been advised to be subdued....

Rooney was furthest from the place where they were celebrating. He just made a run towards that side so may be he couldn't be arsed? Oh feck it....Rooney was definitely acting a tit.

I agree mate. My point was it's upsetting for us as fans for him to be openly out of love for the club. I don't understand.

Thanks for the assists, arsehole!

Nah, but it would be disappointing to think Moyes chose him ahead of Kagawa if he has any intention of letting him go.
