Meh GT has been living off its early reputation for years now, the last few games have been shite. They annoy me by releasing these half-assed concept games that do the series no favours as well.

Couldn't agree more, massive GT fan since the first one on Playstation but that thing on the PS3 recently was a huge let down, all that hype as well, Berbaflop. Already had and loved an Xbox 360 and went out and bought a PS3 just for it, shocking. Sold it and the game, just not a patch on Forza.

Can you imagine having to put up with just a PS3 for all those years and getting 1 racing game or making do with the crapo ones? We had 3 Forza's and Horizon on our Xbox gen span, then their was PGR from early on as well, which was better than making do with a NFS.

Why are you using the plural? There has only been one, number two is out in a couple of months, and as it runs in 1080p at 60fps, you might get some people saying that it looks better than Forza 5. I can't wait to see what Polyphony show on PS4.

Both will look great, as always, only the saddo anoraks will notice a microscope of a different. Trouble is, Forza will actually play great as well, which is what its all about. Then there's all the auctions, car updates, people storefronts, customising and tuning files which GT just can't compete with. Turn 10 have left them for dead, times change, this ain't 1998.

Looked at my profile on Forza, Skyrim style, and I've spent serious hours just in the storefronts stuff alone and the graphics in that are mainly text!!!!!!!!

Go sign up to the Windows 8 beta dude, starts next month. But yeah.. I swear on a video I already heard of somebody who was actually simply just messing about testing the alpha build or something and now he's actually a dev for them - I know it's not a great source, but I'm very confident that was on one of the official streams.

But yeah.. there will be a community with most downloaded, highest rated, editor picks and all sorts.. people will make some incredible things, especially by people remixing others.. I'm confident that we will see remakes of classic games too which will be very cool.

Done, cheers.

Makes me think about what you said about this and the Xbox 360. Would it not have been a much better idea for Microsoft to keep this exclusively to Xbox One in terms of console play? They could've undone some damage from their initially calamitous marketing approach there, surely.

I agree.. same with Titanfall, as that game could be (still might be for some) a console seller.

I've seen plenty of people say 'why should I get an Xbox One when I can get their exclusives on PC' - which is of course a fair point, but it's always used as a negative slant at Microsoft ('xbox your exclusives arent even real exclusives you suck'), even though really it's good that they offering you the choice to get it on PC instead if you wish, and not tying it to their console only.

Ridiculously cool. I'm surprised people on here aren't beside themselves about the potential of this. Maybe it's because it's the cool thing to slam into the Xbox One or something.

Well, to be fair, I see this thread as one about the hardware the two consoles have rather than the software, as it's not doing anything that couldn't easily be replicated on the other. Unlike Ryse running in 900p for example or Killer Instinct running in 720p, or Forza 5 having baked lighting and looking like a matchbox car running around a model village.

Don't turn this into a Project Spark thread, go to its own thread.

If Forza did dynamic lighting, any time of day, and changing weather your jizz would be all over the show. Thankfully it doesn't!

In fairness, it's the "PS4 vs Xbox One" thread. This is surely a big argument in favour of getting the Xbox One, although it really does seem silly to me that they're bringing it out on the 360 as well. This could be one of the best games ever and well worth buying the Xbox One for alone, so it seems like Microsoft are missing a big opportunity in releasing it for the 360 too. I've not seen anything anywhere near as cool for the PS4 yet and they could've played on that.

Put it this way, if I didn't have a computer good enough to run it and if there wasn't a 360 version, I would be thinking long and hard now about getting an Xbox One because of this game. That despite the fact that JRPGs are by far my most played type of game and that Sony/Playstation have always had the lion's share of this market.

I agree.. same with Titanfall, as that game could be (still might be for some) a console seller.

Makes you wonder if they ultimately benefit from that approach. There will be a shit load of people like me who just won't see the sense at all in getting an Xbox One because of PC releases of games like Project Spark, and they'll be losing hundreds for every person like that.

That being said, Project Spark seems more a lot more suited to the PC gamer community than the demographic Microsoft seem to be aiming for.

Still don't feel interested in these type of games. And doesn't seem you'll need anything more than a decent laptop play to playing anyway.

If you want Weaste, we can talk about how a lot of people had trouble downloading GTA V last night on PS3, or that Gran Turismo 6 is most likely going to be released without the audio ready?

Seeing as though this place isn't to talk about next gen games, but to slate Microsoft on just about anything. Before you say 'thats on PS3' - what about 'games library disappears into magical cloud'

In the case of fantastic looking content on the Xbox One, Weaste would like if we could just stick to talking exclusively about the hardware, please.

It's a reasonable request.

If we really have to talk about software then let's talk about Killer Instinct because that's only in 720p.

Look at that game at 9 minutes. Just think, that could be a mini game in an actual game.... That's the sort of shit that's going on with this.

A valid concern when you are using the cloud in any significant manner in your games.

And the whole PS4 download before midnight release and shit.. was yday not a huge concern?

Is it not a concern that GT6 audio isn't ready on release? Sure it's not on PS4, but it doesn't give a great deal of confidence for future GT games on PS4. Microsoft recently took over an exclusives audio to get it up to scratch and upto their standards in time for launch.

GT6 audio is ready on release, they are just planning on a pre release patch to make enhancements to the quality of the engine noises..... It's not the first, or last game that has a pre release patch either.

What about Rockstar advising against GTA V (biggest game of the generation) being installed locally on the 360 HDD...

I think that you know the reason for this.

GT6 will have GT5 quality audio? Ah shit!

What the hell these two PS3 games have to do with a thread PS4 vs XBone I don't know!

That second one makes sense. It's only the play disc you shouldn't install. Thanks to Cell I imagine there isn't such problems on the PS3.

Correct!

What I don't get though is that this must mean there is no digital version on XB360? For some reason it needs the disc?

It's for that reason. A quick scan shows it's a texture loading problem, they need to stream from disc and hdd, which explains the delay in them appearing if the play disc is force installed.

Yeah and the digital PS3 version is potentially either scaled down or susceptible to the same issues as the game-disc installation on 360.

 This thread is basically an advertisement why NOT to buy either console. Mainly because there is a chance you will end up like either Weaste, or Ciderman.

I'm just acting the antithesis to Weaste in an effort to highlight how moronic his gay Sony stance is. It's easy to come up with a load of biased bullshit to slag of either console; even more so for me personally since I've far more imagination and wit than that retard.

I actually think that both consoles will be excellent.

Well it has given me a break from it.

Though I do it a lot better ;)

XBone is seriously underpowered, it's a turd, not quite Wii level, but a turd nevertheless. I'm just trying to point that out.

Why would you knowingly circulate such poorly conceived layman trash if not motivated by an obvious and monomaniacal obsession?

If you genuinely believe the above then, it has to be said, you're an idiot.

So afterall Ryse will be running at 30fps and at 900p, which is disappointing.
