DC is street smart, Ramos is a bobo ;)

To be honest, I don't see what the fuss is all about with regards to Costa and the Spanish national team. As far as I know, the Barca boys and the Real boys don't exactly have a great relationship with regards to El Clasico, but all that is forgotten in a World Cup or European Championship, and to be honest, that is the way it should be. It could give some of the English players a few tips in how to leave rivalries aside and playing as a team. I hope Costa makes it in the national team because, he is most certainly going to rough up a few defenders should he play.

Scored again. 13 goals in 12 appearances. If he joins a team in England, I think he'll suffer a lot. He can get away with what he does in Spain, but the media in England are ruthless, and thus I think his form may suffer as a result of his animosity.

Have to agree, another Balotelli for the media to focus on

Id actually like him to stay at Atletico, its good having another team fighting Real and Barca for the title, we all know he will just go to one of our rivals anyway

I'm sure he'd prefer to remain in Spain too. He is Spanish* after all.

Damn, great goal - reminds me of Berbatov's without setting himself up

Scored one and missed a penalty against Valencia.

He has scored 20 goals in 18 appearances this season. I think he can hit 30+ goals. His value will increase in doing so.

Edit - He just one a penalty. And he scores.

21 goals in 18 appearances.

Between 35 and 45 goals this season seems to be a realistic target, what a season he's having. I never thought he was this good last season.

I expected him to score 15 goals this season, but I wasn't expecting him to be this good. He would definitely do well in the Premier League.

He scored 20 last season, mainly playing second fiddle to Falcao and doing a lot more work for the team too. His form is what won Atletico the copa del rey in the end. I expected him to do well this season, but not this well. He has been so good. Surely has to lead the line for Spain at the world cup next summer if he keeps this up. Just such a nuisance for any defender. He's a little less mental too, hardly any yellow cards or incidents this season (yet)

I meant 15 league goals. I made a post in the La Liga thread saying I expect him to score 15 league goals. It's only five more than last season, but I don't think I had that much confidence in him in the absence of Falcao. Stupid of me considering Atletico Madrid usually do well, even when world class players leave them. He's going to have a good role for Spain. His skill set allows him to play on the wings, centre-forward, or as a second striker. I look forward to him hitting 30+ goals this season.

Nice comp of Diego Costa's performance against Valencia. Sums up his personality and skill set well, for anyone who hasn't watched him play before.

Aye. I don't think Costa would've been as prolific as he has been though.

I'm not sure; I am a huge fan of his. I remember being ridiculed back in September when I put him in the same bracket as Cavani and Falcao (when making the point that Chelsea need a striker of that ilk in order to be a real force again) but he's gone on to prove his worth this season to date, and more.

Incredible player; a force of nature.

A lot of his game seem's based in Intimidation, he psyches out the defence early on with a few hard tackles and deathly stares which then buy's him a bit more room in the game.

Not sure if that would stick in England, but he certainly has the physicality to be a real threat in this league.

Dailymail saying we were scouting him in the Malaga game.

Good stuff. We're on our way to playing a revolutionary 4-1-5 formation.

We've been linked with him by a few rags this week.

He's had an outstanding season to date but I dont think hes anywhere near top class. Certainly not worth the money being mentioned.

That's my opinion on him as well. I feel this season in the exception and he will return to being a good, solid striker after it. I'm actually surprised he's maintained his scoring level for the first half. Hopefully I'm proved wrong though as I like Athletico.

A couple of journo's I really respect have likened him to being as talented as Suarez.

Perhaps a position we don't really need, but if he is as unique a talent as is being made out (I must stress I haven't seen a lot of him!) then he might be worth going for.
