Has a slight gambling problem
I guess Jose felt that he could play yesterday as he has 5 days rest until the Arsenal game.
Truly the anti-Torres, he wasnt massively involved yesterday but he was so strong and lethal when it mattered.
Costa now has 2 more PL goals in 7 games than Torres managed in his first 1 and a half seasons with us(46 games) and has almost scored half of what the latter scored in his entire Chelsea career already. Weren't some questioning whether he would get into double figures?

I admit I did not think something so absurd as Costa being unable to hit double figures but I didn't think he would hit 20 league goals this season, thought he'd get around 15.I find that hard to believe.
They've already started for Wenger. This guy is gonna be Mourinho's tool to make Arsene and his defenders shit bricks for years to come like he did with DrogbaI bet all defenders who played for Arsenal against Drogba still wake up every night in a cold sweat after having Drogba nightmares.
Dude's such a cnut
Can't believe he just turned 26. He plays like he is 30 and looks like he is 40.
Still hasn't scored for Spain in over 400 minutes played for them.
Doesn't mind? He just ups up the anti himself.Hes one of the few dirty bastards around that actually seems to have no issue getting the same treatment back. I think he genuinely views it as part of the game.
In the time it took for you to read this, Costa aged another 7 minutes.
Maybe the summer off will sort him out, He didnt get that last year. Shame for him, he wont win the golden boot now when he was favourite. Worth noting that in his absence we have still actually won almost all of our games. He's been injured 8 times in the last two seasons, 4 times this season. And every time its in the same hamstring region.. Got injured in his last game, missed the internationals and injured again in the very first game after the international break..
Tissue paper hamstrings. Get that man a transplant, I'll swap with him for a years salary of his.
It's odd, I've have a fair few groin strains over the years but have never done my hammys. I used to be fairly quick as well.
How do they still manage to get these sums for their players? This is a player that flat out refuses to play for them, only wants to go to a single club, and they still get 60m euro for him?
Yep, unbelievable. Soon 29 yrs old, signed him three years ago for £32m...Cannot believe the fee they got for him. Incredible business.
yeah, they always manage to get incredible fees it seems. Unless it's Matic going to a title rival, of course. How do they still manage to get these sums for their players? It's an all right deal considering the circumstances but when you base transfer fee on the quality of the player alone it's very poor. At his peak he's a top 3 player in the league in the most expensive position and physical decline is more about mileage than age, Diego Costa has only played like 20 more first team matches than Lukaku.€50m + €10m in add-ons per several outlets.
Poor deal for Chelsea given his real value should be around £80-90m.
