Just watched episode 19 of AoT, it's teasing me so much! I kind of want to wait and just watch the remaining episodes one after another, but I can't do it...

I really wanted to try this genre out but I've had a tough time keeping my interest up. Eventually I came across Fairy Tail and I have been hooked ever since.

Heard good things about D Gray-Man too. Is it any good?

Monster is probably the best anime I've seen.
Monster is the one anime most suited for a live-action remake imo. The guy who wrote the screenplay for A History of Violence was attached to write a film adaptation at some point but it's in development hell right now it seems.
In 2013, it was revealed that Guillermo del Toro and HBO are collaborating to come out with a pilot for a live-action television series based on Monster. Co-executive producer Stephen Thompson (Doctor Who and Sherlock) is writing the pilot, while Toro will direct it and be an executive producer alongside Don Murphy and Susan Montford.
Niice.

My girlfriend has recently shown me a few of her favourite animes, we're currently going through Hunter x Hunter 2011 which is pretty cool.

First one she showed me was Yakitate, which is about bread, essentially. I laughed quite a bit when she told me the premise, but it turns out to be great fun :)

Just got done with season 1 of Attack on Titans. It was a wonderful anime experience but the downside is that I've to wait for years before season 2 comes out.

Probably going to start on another anime soon. I've heard good things about Code Geass, should I start with it?

Nothing is so common as the wish to be remarkable.
For anyone who is interested I highly recommend these shows

Amazing/Must see

Ghost in the Shell
Cowboy Bebop
Paranoia Agent
Samurai Champloo

Pretty Decent

Big O
Rurouni Kenshin
Gungrave
Thanks for this. I am midway through it and I love it. Characters and depictions are great, and brilliant soundtracks tbh. Will see how the plot eventually ends up.

So been getting into anime quite a bit recently...

At the moment my favourites (from best to worst) are -

Monster
Phantom Requiem for the Phantom
Fate/Zero
Mushishi
Steins Gate
Death Note
Full Metal Alchemist
Hellsing Ultimate

Anyone got anything similar? I prefer the darker stuff. And the more serious the better!

Maybe try 20th century boy from the author of Monster, it's only a manga so far.

- Hunter X Hunter 2011 (I think it's the most surprising of the shonen about boy going into a quest (like FMA))
- Level E (short anime, funny, surprising)
- Gankutsuo (that's an adaptation of the Count of Monte Cristo, it begins at the revenge part, and well it has changed many things. Not sure if the ones knowing the plot of the book will be pleased or not, especially since I read the book after watching the anime but I think there were interesting changes, and enough to still make the book surprising for me. And I will probably watch again the anime and read again the novel.)
- Corpse Demon (or Shiki. From the start, the mystery isn't what kind of enemies the bad guys are. Dramatic, and we got many POV even from some villains)
- Darker than black
- Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica (that's the anime that you have to reach ep 3 to know what's the real atmosphere of the anime, the first two ep are quite boring and seem to give an anime for small girls (but I don't recommend at all this anime for small child or anyone wanting fluffy things))
- Mirai Nikki (a "game" where you have to kill people with the help of a diary)

Or you can also try MyAnimelist, usually the page of every anime or manga has recommendations similar to this anime or manga with a short explanation why.

Just finished Durarara! and Baccano! Among the best I've seen. <3 Izaya+Shizuo, Issac+Miria :D

For anyone interested in catching a masterpiece watch Grave of the Fireflies by Akiyuki Nosaka and Isao Takahata and produced by the legendary Glibli Studio. One of the greatest movies ever animated or otherwise.

PS Rant : One Piece >>>>>>>> Naruto. Luffy >>>>>>>> Narutard, Shanks >>>>>>>> Kakashi, Sasuke suck ghey balls, die Sakura die.

Just finished Attack on Titan and loved it... can anyone recommend me any other good animes? Preferably on Netflix. I really enjoyed Death Note a few years ago if that helps in your advice! Cheers

Anyone recommend me a decent English dubbed anime? I don't mind subs but if it's dubbed I can sort of half watch it while doing other things. Any sort of anime will do really, as long as it's entertaining.

Loved Higurashi. Left me with the best feeling of resolution I've ever experienced with a TV show after Kai, so I didn't want to ruin it with the other spin offs and what have you.

Got that already mate. Thanks anyway.
Watch Berserk and tremble with awe.

First watch the full season and then the movies. Then proceed to read the manga (anime is animation, manga is the word for comic books. Oh and if people can not wait to see what happens next in shingeki no kyoujin, they are alot further in the comic books where animes are adapted from)online.

BERSERK. Darker and more twisted than all that stuff up there.

Ah yeah, I've heard of that before. I'll give it a try, cheers.

After watching Fairy Tail, I figured I move on to something set within a high fantasy realm. Been meaning to look up Legends of the Legendary Heroes; any other suggestion

I've been recommended Fairy Tail a few times. Is it any good? Also, is it a high fantasy anime? I've never watched a high fantasy anime, but I'm a massive high fantasy fan. I'd look it up on Youtube but I can't just yet, hence why I'm asking.

Fairy Tail is great and yeah, I would consider it high fantasy, what's with the magic, armours, guilds, battles and creatures. Unless you are really picky I think you'll enjoy FT a lot. I've picked these anime, all suppose to be set in high fantasy worlds, that I intend to dwell into:

Legends of the legendary heroes
Magic Knights
Record of Lodoss War

Should be fun. :)

My wit's end
"Legends of the legendary heroes" has to be the most unimaginative title to a TV show/movie in history.
