Good Craig got his c'nuppins
Strange that people aren't picking a person who will more than likely go down as our greatest ever player once he retires.
Youre joking right?

Rio was genuinely the best player in the world in his position. He was important as Ronaldo in 2007/08. Don't know whether you could say the same for Giggs.
I'd probably say Giggs in answer to the OP though, too often our attack has lacked the ability to beat a man and counter attack at pace.
Closely followed by Rio, you could put Smalling, Jones or Evans alongside him and he'd made them look a million bucks and we'd be a better unit as a whole.
Well I have to disagree Nesta Cannavaro were better,Thuram Stam and Ayala too even though they were a few years older, but Giggs is one of the best left wingers the world has ever seen I cant put Rio on the same level even if he is one of my favorite all time players.
Giggs is not one of the best left wingers the world has ever seen. He was never close to being A. The best player in his position or B. The best player in the world.
The guy hasn't scored more than 8 goals in a PL season since 1996. That is not "best left winger in the world ever".Thats your opinion.

The guy has more assists than any other in the CL and in the EPL... more than just goals.
But goals are a vital part of being a winger, especially if you're claiming that he's "the best left winger ever". Giggs acquired his records by being very good for a very, very, very long period, rather than being the best player in his position in the world.
Really???Rio. Was a better player at his peak than Giggs.
I think Evra would improve you the most.
Really???
It's likely a wum, don't biteSo a Liverpool supporter who actually rates Evra!? Interesting![]()

Yea I felt bad when I saw you giving a serious answer there, still at least I got me pun inNot wumming.
Wingers generally are providers for goals. But goals are a vital part of being a winger, especially if you're claiming that he's "the best left winger ever". Giggs acquired his records by being very good for a very, very, very long period, rather than being the best player in his position in the world.
Ok we will have to agree to disagree, I never once thought Rio was the best CB in the world.Yes? Rio was the best CB in the world at one point. Giggs was never the best winger in the world.

The guy? Thats how you refer to Giggs.. I've watched Giggs play since he was a teen seeing as we have the same age, he is one of the top 5 best left wingers ever go ahead and prove me wrong. On the other hand I could name the top 5 best defenders ever and Rio wouldn't be anywhere near. And dont forget you said Rio was the best defender in the world in your post where as I said Giggs was one of the best left wingers.
Best, C. Ronaldo, Ribery, Rivelino, Ronaldinho. The guy? Thats how you refer to Giggs.. He wasn't IMO, but he was up there.
Best 5 left wingers of all time? Seriously?
Best, C. Ronaldo, Ribery, Rivelino, Bale.
There are plenty of right wingers/AM's who played out on the left plenty too, many of who are better than Giggs.
Plenty of wingers have had/ are having a higher peak than Giggs.
Bale??? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
Easily Scholes.
