Mine is when Sterling shot in the opening minute, I celebrated wildly thinking we had scored.

Boring, obvious choice but it has to be the RVP header. The Brazil Croatia game was marred by poor officiating as was the Mexico Cameroon game so this was the game which seemed to get everything rolling.

i thought we were heading towards yet another 1-0 spain victory, they looked in total control. The header came out of nowhere and almost acted as a kickstart to the whole tournament. Even without any context it's just a brilliant goal, the pass and the finish are sensational.

Mine is when Sterling shot in the opening minute, I celebrated wildly thinking we had scored.

I was in the pub for that and we couldn't hear the commentary. I was thinking, Jesus Sterling looks very calm after scoring that. Took about 20 seconds for us to realise it wasn't a goal.

Same. Perfect pass, sheer pace to blow past Ramos, and then the delicate touches to get around the defenders and keeper. Pretty typical Robben actually

Also, it was just the entire situation. I was laughing hysterically after the goal, realizing that Holland had completed the rout, and complete demolition, of what was the greatest national team I could remember watching. Plus, the look on Casillas' face was priceless

That was definitely number one. A distance season was Ochao's save from the header. Still can't believe he got to that ball

Obviously biased, but it was great scoring two past australia in a couple of minutes. For a sec i thought we were gonna trash em and we could beat anyone... Then we started playing like shit and we were back to reallity

RVP header. It caught me out completely. First, the Dutch seemed down and out for the first half. Then the cross swung in, totally expecting that RVP would chest it down and take the shot on with his left, only to be taken early with a stunning header.

In the context of the game, it gave the Netherlands belief going into the break, that sticking to their system will achieve the result.

The most Tweeted Tweet apparently, in that moment Twitter exploded with over a quarter of a million.

And Messi seemed to explode to, he has his swag and confidence back, he will go on a run now I imagine, especially with the easy path to the Quarter/semi Finals. And then it relies on small details to win it.

that game was so good to watch.

There are plenty of great moments but RVPs header does stand out for me.
And for some reason seeing those two Italian players helping the English player with cramp sticks in my mind and makes me chuckle every time I think of it. Weird, I know.
