What do you expect with Woy in charge and a back 4 as poor as the one we have? If you give players as good Suarez and Cavani that much space they will hurt you. It is a no brainer.
 
As a neutral, i don't really get all your anger towards rooney. At the end he's the best player your NT has and today he showed it. Maybe youre angry because of the chance he got blocked by muslera (Amazing reflexes! even if the shot was too centered he still got to the ground in one milisecond to parry it) but if you watch the game again someday without the heat of the moment you will realize rooney played very good. I hope england can make a miracle and get to the R16 =)

Arrogant and poor defending has cost England a chance at this world cup. Its a shame because they were looking really good. Johnson was positionally retarded 95% of the time, resulting in Balotellis goal and Suarezs first goal. Jagielka looks like hes on vacation and Cahil cant clear a ball to save his life. For some reason England continue to believe they have this aura of invincibility when it comes to defending, while you see all other teams working their fecking ass off, throwing themselves at each other to defend. Its a mindset that I cant ever see changing for England. Having said that, if Italy manage to smash Costa Rica and Uruguay, England can still go through if they beat Costa Rica. What are the odds of that
 
Very sorry to any English caftards here....I love the forum and love debating with you all and you are all good fans.

But, the fans there tonight deserved that for their antics before kick off!....Was an absolute disgrace!!

I don't like Wayne Rooney but, I asked a question in another thread about why Gerrard gets away with no showing for you and Rooney gets it in the neck...No one answered.
 
i know we don't have many real world class players in the squad but you then look at chile and the defence they had when they beat spain and kept a clean sheet and i think how are other countries with lesser players able to perform better than england, if we had the likes of medel in our defence we would be using that as a scapegoat for conceding goals and losing games

He and Moyes are kindred spirits, complete dinosaurs the pair of them. Anyone who thought that England would be able to compete at the highest level with him at the helm was kidding themselves.

There was a reason he only lasted a few months at Liverpool.

The Chile players, and all the South American relish playing at these tournaments, you can see they absolutely love it.

England by way of comparison, for all the positive media about no fear in a young squad, still look absolutely terrified. Rooney gets a great chance, snatches at it, England lose to Italy, Suarez gets 2 chances, relishes the opportunity, sticks them away. Uruguay win. Owen was the last big game player for England , but the last generation of players have continually shirked at the responsibility and gone into their shells.

It's a mentality thing. I mean there's obviously technical deficiencies to the England squad, but there's reasons beyond that why for a second tournament in a row they've been dealt knock out blows due to a bog standard goal kick, or why the side has gone from being strong at set pieces to everyone suddenly being completely unable to take a corner. These are basic, basic things that once the tournament starts have eluded the players.

People just dont like Rooney. I think its as simple as that.

That back four was just delaying the inevitable. Johnson, horrible defensively, Cahill, average, Jagielka, hot garbage, Baines, always been overrated. All that talk of Baines being as good as some thought can die a quick death. What a blessing it was he never came to United.

Dont know what it will take, but for some reason England can just never put together a complete team. Another blessing has to be that this will be the last time Captain Kiss the Camera will be in the middle starting for England.
 
Honestly I thought Rooney played well. Uruguay reserved special treatment for him and man-marked him but he still managed to craft out chances for us. Sturridge, Sterling and Welbeck weren't that good, our center midfield is tosh as well.
