Yeah it was a great song to start with, really cool. Eez-eh was pretty great live actually, though I'm not a fan of the song itself (and as I said above, the crowd seemed to love it). They played another from their new stuff, but a b side, "beanz", that was absolute shite. Dunno what the new album would be like, but I think it'll definitely be quite different to their previous stuff.

Cant say there is one song that I don't like on there. Cant wait to hear it properly!

Hated Eez-eh at first but I think it's probably the biggest grower ever.

That sampler has removed some of my scepticism. Lots of stuff on there that sounds like it could be decent.

I still can't bring myself to like Eez-eh though.

The tune is ok but the lyrics are just so hilariously bad.

I love Eez-eh. It's early 90's Pop Psych Rock with northern swagger and added tempo.

It reminds me of 90s music a lot.

It's the sort of thing I'd really like if it came from some crappy pop band, but sounds somehow wrong coming from a band I actually like. If that makes sense.

Still, all in all sounds like the new album might be a pleasant surprise. Was expecting something a lot weaker than the last two purely because that's how it usually works.

So one of their new songs, Bumblebee, will be played in full tonight on Radio 1. 7:30PM on Zane Lowe's Hottest record.

It's good, I'm just wondering how it'll sound live. There's not as much as an oomph as previous albums, but this is obviously where they are now musically.

Yeah that's something that is interesting. I saw them live 2 years ago now and they were immense. I don't think i'd look forward to any of these new songs though if I was going again, which I probably will be.

I've seen them live four times now, and have yet to be disappointed. I'll be interested to see them perform some of the new tracks, Bumblebee, Stevie, Treat, Clouds, Eez-eh and Bow sound interesting enough to me now...

My favourite is Explodes. I love the way it get heavier as it goes along. I was hoping for some more heaviness but I guess thats what's disappointing me.

Finished it and I'm disappointed (not Muse - The 2nd Law disappointed) but pretty deflated. Like the aforementioned it could really, really grow on me but I don't think that there is much for me to cling to. I just think it's missing that 'Kasabian tune' that every album they have released has had. There is no Club Foot or Empire or Fire or Switchblade Smiles/Days are Forgotten. It all just feels a little bit like they 'turned it down' to make this album.

Not sure what to make of it right now.

Actually I think the perfect word I can use to describe it is sterile. It's like a dog thats been neutered.

I like it. It's a bit mental and will be hit and miss with some people I think, but on first impression I'd say it's potentially my second favourite Kasabian album, behind their first one which I doubt they'll ever top.

Definitely better than what I was expecting. It reminds me a bit of the first album actually, but less explosive and probably with less longivity/catchyness.

Bumblebee and Eez-eh are immense live, don't fear my dears. As I said, I don't even really like the studio version of Eez-eh but played live, it's great.

Have to listen to this tonight!

I've watched the BBC Big Weekend show and they were absolutely brilliant. Bumblebee is friggin' awesome live. As for the album, first listen and my thoughts are good. Its more of a throwback to their first album.

Had a listen, first thought is meh. However I don't really feel in the mood for loads of shouty songs so it's partially that and also because it's most likely a grower.

I'm about halfway through the album, and I have to say I'm really enjoying it. I'm actually not often this enthusiastic about an album on first listening, so I'm quite happy. A lot of songs I love already and it all holds together very well.

Finally had my first complete play through, at the minute I'm not sure what to make of it. In terms of tracks Eez-eh, Stevie and Bumblebee I really like and Explodes is one of their best songs for me. It'll certainly grow on me but I wouldn't say right now that it's better than any of the four that came before it.

Just finished my first listen through and I'm really impressed. I honestly think it's great. On first impression, a number of the songs are like dance-music and I think that's exactly where Kasabian are at their best. When you listen to it, you know it'll be another two or three levels better when they're smashing it live.

Some of the tunes sound huge and I'm sure they'll be brilliant live once again. I wish I was going to see them sometime soon. No idea when I'll next get the chance.

See that's what I love about Kasabian live...they'd struggle to come up with a poor setlist if they tried.

Last time I saw them it was only when I thought about it the next day I realised they actually didn't play most of my favourite songs...one of very few bands who can do that and still put on a top class show. Though I was also quite hammered which may have been a contributing factor.

Pre-sale for their UK tour started at 9AM.

I got 3 tickets for Manchester (seated block 102). That night also happens to be my birthday :D

Anyone else bought some?
