I love your team but I just question the lack of inexperience in the middle of the park. Anderson for Rothwell maybe? Would love to see Varela and Andreas on the bench too.
Anderson is injured. This has been repeated quite a few times on this thread.

Back in training since last week. But i think we are trying to give him for free to someone.
Report after Sunderland match (in the Smalling injury article) that he is injured.

Ogden thinks we will start with Hernandez, Welbeck, and Kagawa up front.
Who care what Ogden think tbh.Lad is quite clueless when it's not about transfer.

    No Wilson then ?

I doubt he knows anyway. Just guessing probably as they are the senior backup players right now.
He'll probably be a sub, as Welbeck, Hernandez and Kagawa all need to play as well. Januzaj should probably get a start too, but we'll see.

Does Anderson bring 'experience'? Not in any useful sense of the word. Besides, I'm with LVG: experience is overrated, and often just an illusion. Anderson is not a good player. We've seen enough to prove that. And he has no future with us. Rothwell is potentially a very good player, and potentially has a bright future with us. He's probably already a better player, to be honest - he just hasn't had the first-team chances to prove it yet.

I suppose you could swap him for Powell. Personally I'm not a fan, but putting that aside it's a reasonable swap.

Nice mixture of youth and experience there, injuries permitting.

Just hope we don't get embarrassed. MK have a very tidy passing game, hope that doesn't expose whatever we end up with in midfield.

    Anyone heading down?

Almost 6,500 Reds descending on a sleepy Buckinghamshire town on a midweek night for a cup game.

    It's going to be mayhem.

Did you manage to find a ticket for your mate ? Managed to get time off work so I am heading down.

Looking forward to the game. Hopefully we can put on a commanding performance and restore some much needed confidence.

No doubt though MK Dons will be really up for it, so we need to be careful.

That's good except I wouldn't play Evans or De Gea. I'd give De Gea a rest and isn't Evans injured? Even if he isn't, he still just came back so I wouldn't risk him in such a match like this one.

"@svenclaes: Brazilian Belgian starlet Andreas Pereira (18, ex-#PSV) is a part of the #MUFC squad in the League Cup against MK Dons. @HLNinEngeland"

Kagawa will play ahead of him. Maybe he will come on 60th min?

In the 18 man squad, we might see a debut for him. I hope wilson/rothwell also get a look in.

Why would you want to rest De Gea? No point. Amos is awful.

Good stuff. I'd hope to see Wilson and Januzaj start, but with what Ogden said about Hernandez starting I doubt it.

Phil Jones might be the one rested here with M.Keane, Evans, and Blackett making the back three.

Not sure who are the most likely wing backs, as Rafael doesn't seem to be fit, so on the right I think we'll still see Valencia or Young. Reece James should get the nod on the left.

As far as central midfield goes, we only have Fletcher and Cleverley unless LVG is going to play another youth player, while Kagawa will also support them. Another option is to only play one of Fletcher/Cleverley, then play both Kagawa and Januzaj ahead.

As for strikers, I'm hoping Wilson gets a chance, but cases can be made for van Persie, Welbeck, and Hernandez all needing the extra game.

    De Gea
    Valencia M.Keane Evans Blackett James
    Cleverley
    Januzaj Kagawa Welbeck
    Van Persie

Could also see Jones in midfield if not Fletch?

    Doesn't mean he's in the 18. We'll usually travel with a squad of 20+

Pereira deserves it. He's been very good so far this season and seems to be influencing games more consistently now. Potential superstar.
