I hope LVG changes it up tactically. I know our players will get better at these things by playing more. But we need a win here and they're not going to master it in the second half.

I believe in Van Gaal so don't take this the wrong way but Fergie would have this team complete with players like DiMaria and Mata, destroying teams like Burnley.
I agree. But that's mainly because Sir Alex knows the English game and United better than anyone currently alive. And he's not here anymore and LVG has a completely different playing philosophy to Sir Alex.

Shit again (for MUFC standards). But Im not even mad, i mean what can you expect from most of these guys? Blackett frozen at the back left corner of the field. Plays inaccurate long balls if he is in possesion. Fletcher no vision, no strength, no commanding in midfield. Valencia shitty in both offense and defense, same goes for young. (with the 352 this is a major problem as they don´t do the job, wingbacks should do). And the result of all this is that RVP Rooney ADM and Co can not show what they are able to because they don´t even get in attacking situations.

Welbeck should be a starter in this formation, and thats not based on this game only...

Edit: matter of fact he should be the main striker. He works hard, have pace and want to move off the ball = everything we need..

Wouldn't it be great to have a fit and inform Nani, Anderson, Powell, Hernadez, Fabio and Pogba in the side instead?

What irritates me is we don't have anyone like Ferdinand who could play the ball out of defense. Instead we have Evans who can't do anything at the moment, and Blackett who just hoofs it forward whenever he gets a chance.
In an age when it is become more and more imnportant that your CBs can pass the ball out of run with it(Kompany, anyway?), we've got cumbersome oafs

What you talking about i am not happy, but we dont have better choice at the moment.I believe with Anderson things would be even worse.
You say we dont have a better choice with no reason. I am giving a reason that Ando would show for the ball...fact not opinion.

Burnely are sitting deep in numbers whenever they lose possession so the best way is to do long balls to eliminate the 5 midfielders but at the back they have 5 defenders also.Once we score a goal they will open up

Yes. I'm watching. Mata has been average at best.
Where did I say he's not been average? All our attackers have been average cause our midfield/defense are shite and our attackers are having to create chances from hoofballs and we aren't actually building up an attack. Which is why we need our new purchases available to play and hope and pray they're not infected by this hoofball/sideway passing syndrome. I dont actually understand why we're so horrible in building up cause I've never thought our defenders are bad players but somehow we're unable to build up a play so it must be a confidence/getting used to the new system issue and obviously Fletcher is just not up to scratch for the pl at the moment.

We're regressing, this is a shambles.

LvG's 3 at the back will not work in the perm, the attacking players have no confidence with the defence and that is showing.

    Moyes is a better manager.
 Gave yourself away, la. Too much, too early.

Fletcher is doing nothing. Not picking anyone up. Lazy tracking back. Not picking the ball up from our defenders. Not showing for a pass. fecking awful.
Agree he's been diabolical. Absolutely clueless.

It must be instruction from LvG that Young and Valencia go so far with the ball but then turn and give it back inside. I wish they'd just take a man on. Cause a bit of panic for the oppo for a change.
When Young did he should have a got a penalty, I honestly think the Burnley player was shocked when he did take him on.

Clearly I'm a retard then, I think we're doing pretty well.

Took our chances and got the penalty we should have and we'd be 3 up.

The players don't seem to be getting the LVG "Philosophy".

    Truly awful half.

Only some glimmer of inspiration from Di Maria.

I can't believe people actually think Evans is our best defender. He's fecking average! And slow. Really slow.
It took me a long time but i've seen the light.

We need a home game where we beat a team like 4 or 5-0, it could kick start our season but it doesn't look like its going to be any time soon.

I don't even want to think about the impossible new signings now. I just want to get Herrera and Shaw and Rojo and Rafael and Carrick in that damn team.

I rarely say this for a United game but sometimes during that half I regretted waking up so early to watch, fecking sad times

Any worry Carrick had when he got injured that he might not back into the team must have well and truly disappeared!
I'd be Carrick, I would never have gotten worried once. Not even in preseason.

Agree 100%. Not really sure the role fletcher is playing. He's not really broken up burnleys play. I think Carrick would make a massive difference to the way we play.
It does my head when our players take ages to pass the ball. They wait too long, they get closed down and therefore they have to pass it back. They've been doing this over and over again.

Can't we just please try something different in the second half? Throw Rooney into CM, put Di Maria on the wing, sub Ando on, I don't fecking care. Every man and his dawg can see this is not working.

Our front 3 are not pressing enough and it seems very few players actually want the ball. Young has tried to go forward once. We will need to replace him with blind which is a shame since he should be replacing Fletcher (although fletcher is vice captain).

Most concerning though is that you can tell there is a lack of confidence. After that first big chance for van persie we had a good spell where I believe Mata tripped over his own feet instead of scoring. When the good chances stayed away after that we crawled back into our shell and resorted to the long ball again.

Sorry for bad typing. I am typing this on my phone in a holiday resort.getting a beer and hope for. Better second half

    We should switch to 4-3-3

    -----------------De Gea----------------------

    Valencia------Jones------Evans-----Blackett

    -------Mata--------Fletcher--------Di Maria

    -----Januzaj-----------RvP---------Rooney-----

    or something like that.
