We were hardly in the game for the majority of it. We only got a small amount of purchase in the game after the own goal when our players got a little bit of confidence. In the end we rode our luck and got the win, but Arsenal were easily the better team out there today and if their attackers had their shooting boots on we could have easily been looking at an embarrassing defeat.
Agreed we were lucky to come out with a win, but DDG also played a huge part in the win and was by far the best player in the game today for both teams. The first goal especially though was really lucky.

Great result. Very much undeserved, but in fairness we did look dangerous on the break in the latter stages as they tired. Di Maria should have scored and there was at least one dodgy offside call that stopped another good opportunity. I'm sure there'll be plenty refusing to acknowledge it, but I thought Fellaini was very good again, made some crucial interventions and passed the ball sensibly for the most part.
The formation was a really bizarre one, seemed to be almost a 5-2-3 at times!

Why undeserved. Arsenal didn't take their chances, end of. No dodgy decisions, other than Wilshire should have gone.
No dodgy decisions? Fellaini was offside and fouled Gibbs on the first goal. Shaw fouled Wilshere in the box.

I'm not blaming Dean entirely because we were shit and deserved to lose but come on.

We were shocking the vast majority of that game and after the first half I didn't expect us to come away with any points at all. I would typically say an undeserved win due to the luck involved in the first goal, but Arsenal should've been down to 10 men in the first half without a doubt.

feck this 'undeserved' self-loathing bullshit.Look at our injuries ffs.Valencia and Young as wing backs. We set out to score on the counter and that's exactly what happened. Not every deserved win requires possession domination or 3-4 goals.

So you mean a team that is basically close to its first team meets our beat up team, has most of the possesion which is always the case against Arsenal, and they can't take their chances so we are lucky. Sorry, don't buy that. The game went as expected. We were always going to get chances, and we took them.

It was very deserved 3 points. Overall Arsenal were more shit than us. They need a top striker to get past our top keeper.
I agree yes both half arsenal started well but only created 2 or 3 chances and we always looked like of counter and we had several chances lost one on a crazy offside and some lazy passes then we got a og but seriously tony shouldn't buried that the keeper crawling back to the goal. After that we played well enough until arsenal played like arsenal and allowed the rooney goal. Anyway maybe our curse is over although we lost shaw but again young played great...

We deserved to win with a back four of two youngsters and valencia we bloody deserved to win. Van gaal was obviously setting us up for the counter the second half and it worked possesion means nothing if your toothless upfront all those ball right into de gea did he even move half a inch for 95 percent of those shots on goals

Can't understand how this win is "undeserved"? Obviously we're missing a lot of important players and yet managed to beat them with the all-time-effective-tactic-to-beat-Arsenal, which is playing low and waiting for speedy counters. After all these years, it is weird that Wenger has never learnt his lesson.
De Gea is great, but he definitely needs to work on his kicking. Woeful clearances by goalies always annoy the sh*t out of me. But of course, we have to thank him and Fellaini big time for this win.
Oh, and it's nice to see Rooney score again. Class goal from him.

Fellaini was in line (they showed the line on my stream), it was a very slight nudge that would've been harsh. Shaw on Wilshere wasn't really anything IMO. Wilshere should've had a red so you can look at that too. Ref didn't particularly favor either team. You can only blame yourselves for not scoring when you were dominant in the first 30mins but after that, I'd say United just played much better and broke well and it worked.

 You are obviously upset and being blinkered. Shaw did not foul Wilshire. Wilshire being the dirty little shit he is, tried to con the ref. He leaned into Shaw and fell over like a big girl. As for Fellani fouling Gibbs, you must have bloody good eye sight. Your Goalie should have had the ball, Gibbs should not have been any where near where he was. Even then that wasn't the cause of the goal. Gibbs trying to play the ball while on the ground was the reason.

Arsenal are awful, how they didn't score till the 95th minute I don't know.

    Big big win
annoyed that herrera hasn't played for 4 weeks in a row. (Hopefully he starts against hull)
    Robin was awful.
    Hopefully shaw isn't too hurt.
Wilson needs to start against hull.
    Di maria was good.
    Fellaini was great
De gea was man of the match.

Agree but by God we were shocking performance wise and it doesn't bode well for us if we play like this. Hump the ball to Fellaini or give it to Di Maria is that our philosophy!!
Well, if we can win under those conditions and playing like that, imagine us when we are at full strength and playing well. I think the best part about today and most of last month is our ability to stand up and be counted when things are looking bleak. Perhaps it is our philosophy to be resilient?

We were very poor whatever way you look at it, but we can move on. I don't think there are many positives to take from that other than we have a better position, in the top 4, going into next week

As for Fellaini, even if I accept your silly justifications for the foul, he was still clearly offside.

Di Maria has a tendency to cramp up late in games, thinking that's the reason for missing his shot. Thought he did pretty well all around. Wilson was great! So much pace, hope he gets more game time. Rooney was brilliant, Fellaini great, Smalling proved again he's our best CB. Blackett was crap but his teammates covered for him. Valencia and Young are great squad players if anything.

It's suprising all of the negative comments. Yes for major parts of the game arsenal dominated but we were always going to play on the counter and normally we play this way at arsenal... Watch the last 20 times we have played them at arsenal.

Wilshere should've also got a red so there were a few bad decisions both ways. Arsenal didn't lose because of bad refereeing, but because of their inefficiency in front of the goal and because of DDGs great game. So you have only yourself to blame to be honest.

So his arm is offside? Which doesn't count as you can't score with your arm. His foot is on the line and his knee is in line with his foot pretty much. Anyways, even if his fro is marginally offside, you can't really call that a bad decision as it's basically in line and even with this picture it's so marginal if he's on/off.

And Wilshire should have been sent off plus Rooney was on side and we had a 2 vs 1! Get over yourself!

It's not by much but he is offside. I don't want to seem like I think we deserved to win. We surely didn't. But Dean had a bad game too.
