Looking at these lineup predictions thinking we are one CB injury away from being seriously fecked. If LVG does not buy a CB in January it's going to be a long second half of the season.
And whats the likelihood the new player will get injured?

You aren't. You are playing another not very good team on Sunday so you have a chance but given your recent luck has to end I wouldn't expect too much.
Yes, we are.. your head is neck deep into the sand to realize the fact just like your manager's about your team's issues for the past 10 years or so.. nuff said! :wenger:

Christ again with the 'luck'. The last 10 games has seen us win 7, draw 2, and lose 1(played with 10 men for most of the game away to City who hung on for dear life to snatch the win) This form has deservedly seen us climb the table to 3rd.
By luck Pete means United were unlucky not to win 4-1 at emirates with Jack "Scrappy Doo" Wilshere not getting sent of for his brainfart of a headbutt on the Afroman :wenger:

So, yeah it's bound to change and not to mention all those denied penalties to United at the start of the season ;)

Rodgers after they won at Old Trafford last season.

The United team better come out like a fecking train on Sunday and send the cnut on the way to the sack.
Flip, for me that's the team talk done right there. Put that on a white board in the dressing room and let the players do the rest.

Though might end up with a few of the natives heading out to the pitch like Wacko [0:20]...

I'd love smashing those dippers, although it comes rarely, we must start upping our game vs. Them now we've been a better team for decades now yet we cannot put together a convincing performance against this lot. A pre-season esque performance would do I guess.

    I just checked the tables.
We have the 5th best defence in the league.
I dont understand why people think our defence is so bad?
Only 4 teams are better than us in the league, defensively.

I can only assume that it hasnt sunk in that we are actually a very good team.

    3rd in the league.
Best form over the last 5 games, compared to any other team.
5th best defence in the league.
Actually very good way of seeing things. We allowed 17 goals(Credit to Big Dave) so far compared to Soton12, Chelsea13, Mancity14 and tie with Swansea. Leicester game is 5 in that 17. But the only problem and why people are not seeing this side of story is because of lack of consistency in back 4 and are viewing our defense as accident waiting to happen.

Yeah. Even with our current defedners, if they stayed fit, we'd be right up there with Chelsea in the league both in overall points and defensive record. The main thing holding us back is injuries so we can't get proper consistency.

I don't think we'll go 3-5-2 because of a lack of options for center back or the holding midfield position. Van Gaal will have seen how we only have Carrick and Blind capable of being the holding midfielder and the others are dreadful there, which means he can't play Carrick at the back. Smalling is now out injured, McNair low on confidence so the only real option is Evans next to Rojo. Of course, we don't have fit fullbacks either but I think van Gaal would rather play Valencia and young at fullback again ahead of fellaini as a holding midfielder.

Can't wait for the game though, just hope we get a few players back fit.

I thought Rojo & Smalling worked really well as the center back pair & complement each other well. Such a shame Smalling got injured, because a back 4 of Rafael, Smalling Rojo, Shaw with Carrick sitting in front of them looks solid.

Despite Herrera coming on in place of McNair againdt Southampton, we actually didn't switch to four at the back. Carrick slotted into centre back and Ferreira into midfield.

I know, and considering how poor our midfield was, I think Van gaal will have realized that fellaini and herrera can't play the holding role so he needs Blind or Carrick there. Rules Carrick out of playing in defence.

Even if we have all defenders fit, we really shouldn't be seeing that formation. Has there been anytime we've had a good stretch of play with that formation?

We're playing that formation because we don't have all our defenders fit.

He chose to play 3 CBs to protect Valencia and Young. When Rafael and Shaw are back we will be back to 2 CBs.

So no, it's not our best formation when all our defenders are back.

Buzzing for this game right now. Got a really good feeling about this match, for the first time in years for a big game. On a side note, I wish they reverted to playing this game early Saturday instead of Sunday, used to love that!

Who? is that a merge between Fellaini and Herrera?

Any news on the injury front? Physioroom says Di Maria , Rafael and Shaw back for this.

If that is true , i am very confident we will get 3 points

If you've watched any games you'd know exactly why people think our defence is so bad. The organisation has been beyond shambolic at times. De Gea has saved us on a number of occasions as well as mistakes from the opposition.

But I don't think it's anything to be ashamed of, the amount of defensive injuries we've had would make any team struggle and we have done well to concede so few goals.

They all say that. They boil my p1ss.

They pipe on all season saying we are rubbish they'll finish above us etc etc. Offer any of them a bet and they shut up.

Then, the week before the game they start saying "we are rubbish you lot should eaily beat us".

That way they can say "i told you so" without loosing any face. However if we dont beat them all you get from them will be "your poor, you cant even beat us at home when we are bang out of form" etc etc

Would like to see this, assuming they're all fit:

    - - Rooney - RVP
    - - - Di maria
    Herrera - Fellaini
    - - - Carrick

Give Di Maria a free role, Rooney can drop back when ADM drifts wide.
