Januzaj in the di Maria midfielder role could work. I think, as long as he's surrounded by the likes of Carrick, Fellaini, and Herrera. Then he can focus on picking out the killer pass and running at their defenders. I'd prefer him to Mata for that in this kind of match.

I saw some other pictures and didn't see Di Maria in them so I think I doubt we'll be seeing Di Maria vs Liverpool which is a shame.

It wasn't every player in those pictures but I think if Di Maria was training he would be in the pictures.

Still the biggest game of the season for me this. Maybe not in the context of trophys, but certainly in terms of rivalry. I cannot bear losing against this lot but my gut feeling says we will win (and I will be dishing out a huge dose of gloating at work next week).....I hope

The Man Utd Twitter account posted it but it's now been deleted.
I thought it was strange that they said training pictures were going to be posted in the clubs blog. They usually only release pictures round the time of the press conference and that is tomorrow. Has our infamous twitter account cocked up again?

A win would be an almost knockout blow to their top 4, well, coming above us at least, chances.
It's a must win game for us, keep the momentum going, a 6 game win would be big.

I don't think losing on Sunday kills our chances of top four but it certainly makes it unlikely that we'll catch United given that we still have the COC, FA Cup and Europa League to contend with. If we lose Sunday and then lose to Arsenal at Anfield the following weekend then I think top four will be a huge ask.

Losing on Sunday won't kill your chances of top 4 in terms of points, but it most likely will in terms of it's impact on moral. Considering your form so far, losing to us after falling out the CL and your general recent form, will be a further blow. Confidence already looks very low. This could be the nail in the coffin.

Well I think a victory in the Arsenal game would probably lift things again slightly. I suppose how a defeat on Sunday has an impact depends on the manner of the defeat. Obviously I'm hoping that doesn't happen but it wouldn't surprise me, given that United are the form side in the league right now.

Definitely, but really I was implying that the loss of confidence would probably lead to more dropped points against Arsenal. If you immediately beat Arsenal that would obviously make a big difference.

Here's that video. Got the details wrong but it's such a good clip. Just seeing how pissed off Redknapp is for getting the treatment they give out to everyone every week. He's absolute shite as a pundit, complete waste of time.
    "I'm getting outnumbered here aren't i?"
    "Yeah, about 75,000 to 1"

Yeah that's true, unless of course they go and lose to Newcastle on Saturday. If we both lose this weekend then it makes our game against them at Anfield even more important for both clubs.

I know everyone is expecting the likes of West Ham and Southampton to drop off soon but if neither Arsenal or Liverpool start winning then someone is surely going to grab fourth.

I hate this fixture. I always find it a deeply unpleasant experience to watch and I'm usually glad when it's over.
It means too much, even after all these years.
I just know that the hapless scouse will somehow manage to raise their game. Again.

I will take any kind of win, whatsoever.
Someone tell me when it's over.......

    Same here.

Usually an early-ish goal for us calmed me down. Hopefully we get one this weekend.

Play Rooney, Falcao and RVP. Their defence won't have a clue.
Given that LVG said Falcao is currently only fit enough to play 20 minutes at a time (no doubt hyperbole which was taken literally by the media because of the language barrier, but still), you'd probably be better off with Wilson in a trio of strikers.

To be fair, that was before the Stoke game. He didn't play in the Southampton game so he's had 12 days between fixtures to bring his fitness up. He could be ready for an hour by now.

The whole thing is incredibly fraustrating though.

It must be how some console owners feel. They get bought a Playstation for their birthday and hear it has problems over heating. They get an hour out of it and enjoy it before it over heats and they send it back to Sony. They then get a few emails saying they are fixing it but want to make sure it's properly fixed so they don't have to send it back again.

This happens for a long time and it gets to the point where you don't feel like you own a Playstation and if you finally get it back it'll be a nice bonus. Although you're worried it'll just feck up again and the same story will unforld.

Yeah, fair point. As I say, I think there's a good chance he was exaggerating anyway - several times this season if you listen to him say some of the comments that have become headlines, he's speaking figuratively or hyperbolically but it's clumsy in his English and the media interprets it literally. There's a good chance he just meant 'he's not fully match fit yet' and was a bit irritated about it.

The whole thing is incredibly frustrating though.
I'm weirdly unbothered by it, because we have two of the league's best strikers in RVP and Rooney anyway. And if you've watched Wilson come up through the youth teams it's impossible not to rate him very, very highly, so there's that too.

What has been frustrating is all the people convincing themselves in his absence that he's been bad for us. It's one of my biggest pet hates on the caf. He's barely played, and in few match-fit performances early were very promising, at times excellent. Even the stats from those three pre-injury starts weren't bad - a goal and two assists, and hit the woodwork from range twice.
