Credit to West Ham, they have worked hard and pressed United very well. United sitting off them gives them enough time to play out, maybe we need to counter press. The players also have to trust their ability to play the ball on the ground, too many aimless long balls. We should see a better performance in the second half.

West Ham are playing well and are causing us a lot of problems with their physicality and their passes down the wide areas which forces us to kick long.

On the other hand we are not playing like a team and there is a lack of balance too. I think we need an extra body in the midfield to stem the tide get us on the ball more often because we are just going to get overrun otherwise.

Although we won 3-0, I said it against Leicester that there was no balance in our midfield. Also, our strikers are box players, and very rarely run the channels, which means every time our full backs get it, they look up and no ones there, just as Gary pointed out.

FYI west ham are without carroll and their first choice centrebacks. We have hardly troubled them because our strikers are just incapable of beating a defender with pace.

Be nice if they didn't just stand next to them, holding hands. A bit of movement would be nice. Saying that the hoof ball to the front is pretty poor.

Falcao will stay up front an toe the line better and make runs IMO. Moving Rooney up top on his own, and we'd find him dropping back too much. He always does it.
