I love it. Before Hazard it didn't make too much sense though but now you have enough dribbling to break down teams who defend organized and deep as well. Thanks Annah, glad you approve. Bale-Kaka-Torres bursting away behind the defense will drag every defender with them, then you have Hazard and preferably Kaka using the space. Great upgrades.

Azpilicueta and Hazard is Chelsea's best side by a mile, probably one of the best "flanks" in EPL and it works defensively as well. Baines is slightly worse there defensively but offensively he's even better.

I don't trust Baines at all defensively against decent attacking talent and Hazard doesn't really track fullbacks. They are brilliant offensive players both, but I think it's all a bit diminishing returns.

The biggest drawback I'd see is that now he has a huge gulf between the attacking four, and the rest of the team. Basically the same criticism I came in for in the first game, except he has 4 attackers who won't put in a shift defensively. Depends on the opponent as to whether or not that will be a huge hinderance or not, but it could be putting all the eggs in the ol' proverbial basket.

. He was again absolutely fantastic in recent weeks. I'm thinking about making a thread for him and call him the best centerback in the world for about 2 years now, but I'm scared that I jinx his career 
. And he has his peak years still ahead of him, so I need to be careful.I don't see that as a weakness especially with Essien,who can play link up role with his attack.

I'd argue he was the best defender overall, yes. He only played half the games at centerback, but then his performance in the final was terrific. His jobs at fullback are often a bit underrated. Even though he had terrific defensive displays there as well, including twice keeping Ronaldo from scoring at tournaments (Euro 2012 and World Cup 2014). I also remember an outstanding performance at leftback, when he was still at Hamburg. When Robben was destroying Bundesliga defenses for fun in 2009/10, Boateng kept him in his pocket in Hamburg's 1-0 win, easily Robben's worst game that season. He's so quick and can easily keep up with tricky and pacy wingers, which makes him such a fantastic overall defender.
