The slip. We were still dominating this match and had a good chance of at least getting a draw.

The slip, but to get sent off after 45 seconds on his last game against Manchester United is a special moment for our fans, comedy Gold.

The slip will always live on. The pure hilarity of him actually saying 'this does not slip' before then slipping away the league title, it's genius. It's a one in a million thing and it couldn't have happened to a better person.

Plus Stampy G doesn't sound as good.

The slip because it cost them the league pretty much. That said his stamp was hilarious too.

The slip, easily. Turning point in their blowing the league title last season. They weren't going to win the league this time around, not by a long shot.

the slip. it effectively ended liverpools title challenge. many people are saying gerrard handed CL qualification to us but we're only 2 points ahead, it's in our hands but far from over. Still feels great though :D

I think this was funnier, I'm still chuckling at the thought of it. I'd barely got back from a beer run and the red comes out the pocket.

The slip was great, but I don't think I've ever found anything in in football as funny as Gerrard walking back down that tunnel today

Horrible and cowardly stamp on Herrera. Probably was pissed that he didn't start the game and his finale is not as he would have imagined. cnut!

No where in the class of Scholes.

@Dumbstar - won't you agree, mate?

The slip was better. They would have won the game if he didn't slip.

I think that we would have won today regardless of it. And it wasn't completely a match defining season like last year.

W are 5 points ahead now (and a better GD so they need to get 6 more points than us in the next 8 games). It isn't over, but after this match, we are near it.

It was a really bad stamp. Not happy with the cowardly nature of it.

The slip and everything that went with it was pure magic.

This was just a bit of icing on the cake.

Both sensational moments, but the slip was like a wonderful ray of heavenly light sent down in a season of immense, all-consuming darkness and despair. It was a moment that never felt it was coming - the evil force of Liverpool was just too strong and their march onwards to the title was just relentless. And then it happened. To him. With so many shades of the Drogba back-pass. This was hope. This was karma. This was the defining moment in his league career. This brought thousands of fans from different clubs together in song for many months afterwards. This moment would never be forgotten.

But damn - 42 seconds

It's like comparing steak and blowjobs. Both are amazing and can be enjoyed together.

Has to be the slip. Cost them the title effectively. Who knows how match would have panned out 11 v 11. We might have still own or at max draw. Nothing big. In top 4 race, there is still some way to go as well.

The slip. Just the build-up to it, Gerrard's reaction after beating City I think it was and thinking it was all tied up with the 'we go again' bullshit. It was simply poetic, couldn't have been written any better.

The slip by far, but I appreciate the effort he put into bettering it today.

I thought Herrera was the one getting sent off for a minute.

The slip was better, but for a sequel, they did well to have Gerrard's demise be a function of what (partly, along with the skill) made him the player and figure he was; his aggression and ability to turn a 22 man game into one in which he's consistently the key man.

I'll say the red card, just because it seemed improbable he'd have two monumental feck ups in successive seasons in big games.

Can we make this into a poll?

The slip is my choice, it cost them the league and that could have spring boarded them into a period of winning trophies. Also, there was a whose who of LFC w@ankers at the stadium that day to watch them being crowned, Hansen, Sourness, Rush etc were all left sickened. A great today.

It's not even close.

It looked like it had all conspired for Pool to win the league, and no-one thought a semi motivated, heavily weakened Chelsea side who had come for a draw could win there.
Cripes, Pool could have taken a draw and still won the league (hey wouldn't have still been going gung ho at 3-0 up v Palace the next game needing massive goal difference swing)

Today was hilarious though. And not even the most one eyed Pool fan can claim it wasn't the right decision

The sending off was just the cherry on the top of the delicious moment that was the slip.

The Stamp was like the difficult second album. Enjoyable at the time, but when you look back and compare it to the first; The Slip, it doesn't quite have the same impact. Did bloody enjoy his heat map though. What a tit.
