Disappointed be going into the second half behind. We have made a really good start and commanded a lot of the ball but Chelsea just look so strong defensively. We have been somewhat sucker punched but Chelsea set out to counter attack us, they just started to get into the game and when you have Hazard playing this well then it is so difficult to stop him.

We looked a little lost for ideas at times and we need to think about how we can change this slightly because though we have a lot of possession we aren't testing Courtois.

For only playing 10 men, it was actually a great performance in the first half.

With the proper personnel and tactical change*, victory is still within our reach.

*Di Maria on for Falcao, Roo up top.
I think this is the first time I've agreed wholeheartedly with you.

I think if Chelsea sit back for the rest of the match we have a chance of getting on back. Zouma has done a decent job on Fellaini so I think it will be good to see if Fellaini can shake him off a bit.

No disgrace in losing to the Anthill Mob.

What I posted a few days ago.

When will teams learn that the better you look against us the worse the result!

I'd still take 1-1 mind, but hopefully we have the strength to hold on for once this season.
    PSG looked good against you.

Looking at their goal again I think Smalling is at fault too. Probably gets too attracted to Oscar. Herrera should obviously track Hazard.

After seeing the replay, Falcao should be stronger, but it looks a foul.

Falc's mind is willing but his body has gone i'm afraid. His reactions, speed and strength are all well below what utd require. I expect him to be subbed for RvP some time soon.
It's not that - more that he really is not up to the physical side of the Prem (yet?)

Also remember we are injury hit too. Our main striker and back up are out. You guys have bene lucky in the respect that both times you;ve played us you;ve faced only Drogba.. even if he did score in the OT tie.

Not able to watch the game :nervous::nervous:

How is ROoney doing in midfield???
He clearly isn't Carrick. We would completely break down without him there, but he is far too advanced. Not controlling the game from deep, not making himself available in space, always looking like he is hoping someone breaks through so he can go run into the box.

Can't blame him though, we all knew he wasn't Carrick.

Great half from us, really lacked the penetration and the end product in the final third. Got punished on the counter, De Gea could have done better there. This is a game where I believe Di Maria will be a better option the Young. Ivanovic on Di Maria is a red card waiting to happen.

70%-30% in possession and nothing to show for it. Di Maria for Falcao, Rooney upfront, and we have a good chance IMO.

We're getting there, light years better now than over the last few years.

Yes of course we are by no means the finished article, but it's so so pleasing to watch us play with a system and look like the better footballing team in pretty much every match.

I know the goal wasn't really his fault but to Colombians watch United games and still wonder why Falcao doesn't get in the team?
He's incredibly ineffective every time I've seen him in a red shirt.

    Most predictable game ever.

We dominate, Chelsea sneak a goal.

Now they'll sit back and probably get another at some point.

Called everyone a cnut after they scored but in truth it was a good first half. Some shit touches from Falcao but hasn't been bad.

Massive mountain to climb now though. Obviously would take a draw.

Nothing more frustrating than an inconsistent shit ref

It wasn't a foul, it was just shit hold-up play.
Well look at that, replays show a clear arm in the back, the entire sky panel agree its a foul, pretty much justifies the point that you guys are looking for any chance to attack him.

We look quite pretty but need a more powerful, box-to-box midfielder. Keano would be shinning here. Most be some strong and skillful midfielders somewhere in Europe

It's hard to judge Falcaos performance without watching his every movement as last week Rooney wasn't really dominant either. He should have been stronger there (though it may have been a foul) but Herrera, DDG and our centre backs were all equally at fault imo. Though that won't stop the caf going apes**t and demanding a public apology from him.

Shaw, Herrera and Rooney were good I thought. I enjoyed watching is for that half but with Carrick out, Rooney out of place and us being up against a better defence than we've played in a while, we weren't as incisive as we have been.

    I still think we'll score.

And he was kicked! Two fouls from Terry in one tackle. How unsual... NOT

If Hazard keeps on like this it won't take long for Real or Barcelona to come sniffing round. If he wins POTY especially, Real like taking our league best players.
good. I hope they do. Cant wait for him to go. Ferret looking rent boy mug.

Such a shame that we did not score after totally dominating in the first half. There is no cutting edge in the last third of the pitch. Absolutely nothing going forward on the right side of the pitch. Must do better in the second half as far as creating chances.

Really like McNair too, he seems to be a bit too far up the field every now and then (compared to Smalling) but wouldn't mind seeing him in more games than just this one.

he is and so is everyone...

yes...and Falcao has not been poor. He is being man marked well...by the thug.

I think we will get the breakthrough...
Think we need ADM to come on. Provides assists that no one else on that pitch can, the key to unlocking their defence I think. It's a risk, but this game was always a freebie in my mind, never expected us to win (with the injuries). Happy at how well we've played.

This, shift Mata to pull the strings in the middle and Di María right.
