Yeh he's not a bad shout @Paz

My team at the moment is...

Im sure i will change it. I intend on bringing in Costa after a couple of games once city and chelsea have played so i have left £2mill in the bank but not sure whether to spend more wisely. I've left a 4.0 cb as 3rd option because ill never need him (probably). Other then that I wasn't sure on Cazorla or Ramsey, Shaw should start the season i swapped him with Darmian after LVG's comments. I was gonna start with Sanchez but they say he's doubtful to start so went with Hazard.

might swap De Gea out for Cech and Bellerin for Shaw but otherwise pretty happy with it atm, still got 1m in the bank to bring in Costa for Rooney.

Bloody hard picking a team at start of season. No idea who to go for. Will definitely include Hazard this year though, left it too late last year.

Changed my team:

Don't see the benefit of having £5m + players on the bench. It's wise having half decent players that will get you points if someone's out, but you get 1 free transfer a week.

No problem in picking a team for the start. Problem is what you'll do when Aguero and Sanchez are back. Have to decide which of the big names are worth it.

I remember I was a right sad act when I was younger with Fantasy League. Used to print out the pages of all the players on the Fantasy League website, with their values and everything - bring them with me on holiday with a wee notepad and just sat their on the beach with my calculator forming various types of teams. I must have looked like a financial prodigy accountant from afar.

Hmm i went cazorla. Had a good end to the season last year, set piece taker etc Ozil doesn't really stand out much for me but probably because he makes it look easier then it is.

Arsenal is the only team I have three players from. If it is possible, I would pick more than three from their side.

Any opinions on:

Ozil vs Cazorla
I choose Carzola even though he is playing deeper. He takes their set piece in particular penalties and is capable of scoring and assisting. Ozil is still a good option but he is more a creator than both.

Will probably make some changes to the team. Got 1m left. Trying to find recruit that bargain. Decided on Bojan for a while since he's gotten some game time.

Just a warning that Pellegrini has confirmed the Copa America quartet are all going to miss the first game away to WBA. I wouldn't be surprised if Aguero and Zabaleta are both on the bench for Chelsea too so I'd consider leaving Aguero out as he's too costly to have in your side knowing he won't play.

If your looking after a cheap striker i suggest troy deeney. Scored 20+ goals three seasons in a row in the championship and he's their main striker thats guarenteed to play every game. He should get 10-15 goals i reckon and at 5.5mill could be worth a punt.

Was thinking him too, but I'm seeing a lot of my mates having 2 of the following; Rooney/Kane/Giroud/Benteke/Costa, and it feels like a huge gamble.

I'm still tempted as feck to chuck in Bamford, Deeney, alongside captain Rooney.

I'm thinking that Theo Walcott could be a decent gamble. Finished last season playing through the middle, will score quite a few if that continues. It's just a case of wether Wenger goes with him or sticks with Giroud.

I'd opted for Ighalo instead. Heard he's been doing well in pre-season and I have a gut feeling he'll do well in the Prem this season. Do you rate him?

Yeh i also take note of the fixtures, United and Arsenals opening fixtures are decent apart from Arsenal facing Liverpool in their 3rd game. I intend on swapping Giroud and Kane around after we play them i think - hoping Kane won't score against us! Im going for midfield, putting hazard and Sanchez in with depay. Starting with Rooney and then a cheap defence of mostly wing backs.

He's the reason Watford got promoted in my opinion. He scored like 13 goals in 9 games around december time and really propelled us into contention along with some crucial goals towards the end of the season. But Watford have Vydra to play aswell and add to that the signings they have made (Berghuis) there will be a fair bit of rotation between them - but Deeney is the captain and he will play every game if he is fit 100% and the others will make up the game time in the cups if they progress. Deeneys just a better option but Ighalo will score goals too. He's more of a poacher aswell, most of his goals are tap ins but he has the skill to fool a defender to create a chance for himself. Tough call really - im only basing it on probable minutes played.

edit- i say "us" and "we" because im a season ticket holder to watford haha but United fan since i can remember.

Ok thanks a lot. I definitely think one of Watford's strikers will impress this season, it's just a matter of picking which one. I reckon I'll keep faith in my gut instinct to go with Ighalo.
