Why hasnt Manutd.com still confirmed the numbers for our new players but the adidas website has?
adidas haven't confirmed them, just the person who controls their store messed up by putting their preseason numbers in. They don't have Johnstone 50 (despite him having that shirt for years) or Memphis 9

Darmian doesn't have Armenian roots. It's a myth that won't die.
What are you basing that on? Seems like an odd thing to start a myth about. Darmian sounds as Armenian as it gets.

I think Darmian has Armenian roots, at least I read that somewhere. Maybe his grandmother is from there or something. He is born and was obviously raised in Italy.

This shirt has certainly gone out its way to break expectations. I hope we can all #BeTheDifference today.

One consolation is we don't have to watch Wayne Rooney trying to act in any kit adverts.:D Although in a perverse way it was entertaining.

haven't bought a Nike shirt in years but I definitely might get the long-sleeve of this, it looks great.

It would look better if they got rid of that extra hem and just continued the stripes a little further up I reckon. Something like this:

Exactly my thought, definitely looks better. I still like this years kits though.

I'm not sure about the crest on the training gear. I prefer the actual red and yellow crest as opposed to the one blended in. They are still quite nice but not sure if worth forking out the money involved.

I actually really like that. Add the patches on and it don't look so weird.

A couple of things:
1. There was a thread in some Armenian forum for English speakers (found the thread while looking for some info about Darmian) about Armenian players abroad and they mentioned Darmian, but then a couple of posters said there was no truth in Darmian having Armenian roots and that his surname was quite common in the area in Italy where he had grown up.
2. It says on his wiki page that he hasn't got Armenian roots (shit source but oh well).
I agree that Darmian sounds Armenian though. Don't really know for sure, so maybe I shouldn't have sounded so definite in my previous post.

Whats the difference in the official and replica jerseys? In Elverys Sports the official one is €115 while the other one is €69 or so.

I doubt it. The Nike crests like that were slightly rubbery and I've never seen any sign of them degrading. Then again, they were never likely to have been worn and washed as many times as the players shirts.
Thanks for the info mate. Was thinking of getting my brother the new shirt, might get the player spec one for him was just worried the badge would peel off but from what you say it should be alright.

I just remember the old umbro ones with the spongy badge's before they were all embroidered that peeled off after a while.

Why would you get the patches? Are you 13?
Lol no, when did I say that? I said the shirt won't look weird with them on. It'll cover up that gap between the two set of stripes.

I really like the detail on the sleeves. It seems to be on all the new adidas kits.

Yeah but the patches look silly unless you're on the pitch  imagine seeing a 20+ year old man with Rooney 10 on the back and premier league patches on the sleeves.

How many of the players will wear the long sleeve version? Some of the players still wear short sleeves even in the winter, some just prefer having a long sleeve top under the short sleeve shirt. Rather than a long sleeve shirt.

just reading the article and the designer says it was indeed based on the 1982 shirt for the vintage vibe, paying attention to getting the right 'red' associated with the past. Also a subtle reference to the 92 away shirt on there somewhere. Cant wait to see it at old Trafford next Saturday, bring it on!

It's on the hem of the shirt, at the bottom.

Will also be on the black third top across the chest and shorts.
