Yeah I'll need to wait for XL to be in stock again. Although come to think of it that 1st dark blue you posted without AON doesnt look bad. Quite the contrary.

I'm not sure they ever will mate - the one that you can pre-order doesn't have XL either so that can't have sold out.

Yeah I think it looks nicer! Doesn't have a garish Aon logo, comes in XL and doesn't have a big Adidas sign on the back (which I think the main training tips do).

But you can preorder black one from United site. Maybe we misunderstand each other. :)

But you're right, there's no danger of AON sign falling off and that huge adidas logo in the back puts me off.

Oh yeah, I thought when I looked you couldn't pre-order the black one in XL! My bad.

@dwd the only men's Adidas training top they have on sports direct is the one I sent Mali... the dark blue, smaller AON logo top - with no huge Adidas sign.

Are the shirts from Sportsdirect the same quality as from Megastore or of a lesser quality?
For instance that dark blue without AON is 60 % cotton, 40 % polyester, on sportsdirect its 100 % polyester.
Also that blue one XL is out of stock on united site, ugh!

Point taken. But speaking as a European, no one cares much for Chevrolet. They just so happened to have put an ugly gold cross on the front of the United kit.
That sponsorship is not for europe its for the asian markets.

They are paying big money so they expect the value.

No, they're the exact same shirts. Sports direct usually get things wrong in their description, as you can also see that it says "kids shirt" when it's a men's.

I've just bought the new home shirt and the training top with AON on the front from sports direct both fit fantastic.

I'll use the training top when I go to gym and play 5 a side, the kit will be for general wear.

Chevrolet won't care if it's an eye catching kit in fact they would probably prefer if it was bland. An eye catching logo on the other hand would suit their purposes.

Hence the giant gold cross on Uniteds shirt.
A plain 'Chevrolet' would have suited their purposes a better I think. The Chevrelot text at the bottom barely registers after the logo blinds you.

Think about it mate, when is a more subtle and indistinct logo ever a good thing in advertising?

GM are the worlds second biggest car manufacturer so they know a thing or two about selling cars and advertising their products.

They will no doubt pay a lot of money to talented people who know much more about advertising than you or i, and those people decided a big gold cross logo was much better for Chevrolet to promote their brand than a plain simple one.

I doubt the feelings of a few football shirt buying fashionista's came into their thinking during this process.

Of course it's sexist, why shouldn't be the same as the men's but in a different cut? And why should the problem be solved simply by "buy the men's shirt then". The point here is that they aren't exactly the same and while that might not mean much to you because you've never had to experience that, it does mean something because it is sexist.

Thanks for the link - gone ahead and ordered one of those for myself.

I think I can 'get away' with wearing that more than the actual shirt.
No problem! That's definitely true, although I don't tend to wear these sort of things besides when going to matches or playing/training myself.

Biggest kit deals for 2015/16
is nike making an exit on european kits? in the last two years they've lost out on us, arsenal and juventus... maybe others too. but have they added anyone to their portfolio? seems strange, as adidas is clearly running away with this.

Whenever Madrid's or Barca's are up for renewal, I'm guessing they'll blow us out of the water.
United are among the last to renew, Madrid and Barca will have a big upgrade on their current contract but United will take the lead at the next renewal, granted that the team is still competitive.

Saw the kit upclose today, and it looks wonderful. I was so tempted to buy it, and I havent bought a kit in years. For me its the best looking kit since the retro 2006/07 shirt. The Ronaldo Coming Out Party shirt, where he dominated the league that year.

I guess that their brand is so established that their cost-benefit might be a bit different now that the prices are so large for kit deals. You could say the same for Adidas of course.

The other factor is, Nike have a significant presence across a lot of sports which can't be said about some of the other sports manufacturers.

They made a multi-billion dollar deal with the NFL for exclusive rights to all 32 teams in 2012/13.

that's true. but that's a different market altogether.

anyway, just curious is all. in european football, adidas appear to be kings.
