I like Mane, but no, we should be aiming a bit higher. Agree with the poster who compared him to the likes of Bolasie.

I think its a bit of a lazy comparison given the respective pedigrees.
Bolasie languished on loan with lower league clubs and in Maltese football at one point. Mane improved at every club he's been at and continues to do so. Hes also done well at international level.

It's amazing how many reporters jump on the wagon; these very same reporters that were saying Pedro to United is done.

I think if our interest in Mane became clear before the bullshit with Pedro the reception here would have been a lot more positive. The thing is, LVG in his previous clubs has a spotty record with transfers. With FC Bayern in particular he bought a load of players who were plainly not at the required level. Signing Mane is very risky in my opinion. I don't understand it, it seems desperate to me.
He'd be a good addition if we signed a striker aswell.
