Sure sure Perez whatever you say :) I'm confused, why is Perez doing this interview when the club have released a statement? Jokers.

Well the fact that it's been clear for a year that he was Iker's replacement makes it even stranger that they didn't make a good offer sooner in the window. Also, it should put to bed the thoughts that LVG stopped a renewal for DDG.

So he don't 'mess' with people and yet had to spend 2 hours apoligising to Navas because he didn't tell him they didn't want him? 'He has all our affection'? Weird people.

He's clearly indirectly laying into Woody and launching a charm offensive re De Gea so he doesn't renew.

If that's what happened Perez then appeal, let an independent body look at it and reveal their findings.

How someone like is running a club like Madird is beyond me, you happy with this version of events @carvajal ?

If the De Gea falls for this crap then I give up. Surely he can't be that stupid?
Perez is a smarmy bastard. No doubt embarrassed that Woodward got the better of him.
Talking about proof for Fifa - then why didn't he put it forward when United offered to provide their evidence? Bastard.

We just overhauled our entire squad, yet somehow we lack experience in selling/buying players

He probably only speaks to Sir Alex when he's tapping into Ronaldos phone. "Oh hi Sir Alex. I love you, I'll pass you to Ronny. Thought i'd just say hello." What a dick.

Lack of experience in buying and selling players?
Has anybody any idea what this means? It's a dig but means absolutley nothing.
Madrid got played during this window, forced into offering a 30 year old a total of 50m wages until he's 34/35, pissing off their former / present and maybe future keeper in the process.
Playing second fiddle to Barca has really messed him up. That's a man under pressure

"..because of #MUFC’s lack of experience in these matters"
Woodward's only sold 14 players in the last 2 years and received £110m in the process. Not to mention the 14 he's signed for £250m.

I guess he must be still learning the process.

They're such a strange club, I can't imagine what it must be like to work there. I'm picturing propaganda posters everywhere.

Needless chop at us (and particularly Woodward).

Whatever about all the stuff that led to the DDG deal falling through, Real really shouldn't have started trying to lay all the blame on us. Even if it was actually true and all of this was Woodward's fault, it's still dragging both clubs into petty bickering.

Best thing to do is ignore the old fool.

United say we have time stamped proof it was sent on time ( or words to that extent), Perez says it was 2 minutes late and has proof....United time stamped it at 11.59 had a giggle and then pressed send?

Hope it's not true because DDG would blame us, but bloody hell that would be funny.

The fact though that Madrid aren't appealing, and the the part where Perez says we sent the papers to United at 13.30 and they took 8 hours to send them back (21.30) tells me the me actual turn of events were differnt.

Perez is on the charm offensive as i thought. Unless De Gea signs a new contract with United, i will continue believing that Perez played United and De Gea. We can have the last laugh IF De Gea signs, otherwise Perez gets him for free next summer as he planned.

Even his own story contradict itself, we only told them we were willing to sell De Gea two hours before the deadline and yet we still magically had eight hours to waste in sending back the documents and we were only supposedly late by 1 minute. feck football folks, we've a fecking time machine.

He said that FIFA knows that the documents arrived late and insists in the idea that United didn´t want to put a a price to David. He didn´t appeal because Tebas said that they wouldn´t have any option with la Liga.
I don´t know if it´s the real version of events but I also don´t think that United is saying all the truth. He also said that De Gea contract was signed before but was Navas deal which was delayed. Actually last year happened the same with Coentrao and Di María was signed near the deadline.
Anyway yesterday wrote that Madrid officials can´t believe that J.A Sánchez, with all his experience, missed the transfer, they wonder if something else could happen. Today the press (british) writes that De Gea is angry and considers that United boycotted the transfer. Accounting all maybe Madrid version is not so crazy

Why are you guys so upset about his comments.
He is just bitter (he usually gets his own way) that he was unable to sign a Galactico on a cheap price.
If I were in Perez' position, I'd be saying exactly the same thing to ensure Navas is motivated (rumour has it that after the transfer failed, he asked MUFC to buy him anyway) and that DDG doesn't sign a new contract with MUFC.
His comments are well planned.

And as for suing him...come on guys. If we even attempt to sue, from a business/reputation angle it won't make any sense and on a personal level, we will lower ourselves to his level. Business relationships need to be nurtured because you never know what the future holds. Suing is always the last resort.

Keep your eyes on the target: keep our best players, sign better players and win trophies. Everything else is a waste of time, including suing people for making silly comments about failed player purchases.

Maybe he's coming out with this because David has told him he's signing with United? A pre-emptive strike maybe?
